NC Design & Architecture Ltd. From our vibrant Sheung Wan studio on Hollywood Road, we’re seeking a passionate Intermediate Interior Designer with 3-5 years of experience to join our Hong Kong team full-time. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing landmark projects led by NCDA, including the Mandarin Oriental Hangzhou (194 luxurious guest rooms, suites, and four restaurants and bars, opening 2026 in the Westlake 66 complex), cutting-edge retail spaces at Dubai Mall, and Deep Water Pavilia, Hong Kong’s ultra-luxury residential landmark launched. Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to all project phases: design research, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and bidding.
- Develop 3D models, renderings, and presentations using tools like SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite to bring NCDA’s visionary designs to life.
- Collaborate on NCDA’s lead design projects, including:
- Mandarin Oriental Hangzhou: Designing luxurious guest rooms, suites, and four innovative restaurants and bars for a 2026 opening within the Westlake 66 mixed-use complex, near the UNESCO World Heritage West Lake, blending heritage with modern elegance.
- Dubai Mall: Won a competition to design a stunning large scale retail space.
- Deep Water Pavilia: Crafting bespoke interiors for Hong Kong’s most luxurious large-scale residential project in Wong Chuk Hang, launched in 2025 with sea-view apartments, emphasizing bespoke details and sustainable luxury.
- Work with clients, architects, and contractors to align designs with project goals, budgets, and timelines, ensuring NCDA’s storytelling ethos—seen in projects like Louis Vuitton exhibitions and Dreamscape—shines through.
- Conduct site visits, source materials, and coordinate projects in Hong Kong and potentially internationally, drawing on the innovative approaches of Timber House and Artisan Lab.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field like product designs.
- 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in hospitality, hotel, luxury retail, or residential design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign; familiarity with AI design tools a plus.
- Strong creative vision and problem-solving skills, with a knack for translating client needs into evocative, site-specific designs, as exemplified in NCDA’s Louis Vuitton and Dreamscape projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent English required; Cantonese and Mandarin highly desirable.
- Hong Kong permanent resident or eligible to work in Hong Kong; immediate availability preferred.
- Passion for bespoke design, storytelling, and creating spaces that inspire, as seen in Artifact, Garden pavilion and Artisan Lab’s innovative developments.
