YOUNG AFFAIRS GROUP
The YAG is missioned to engage with young members, providing them support on professional development and networking and encourage active participation in the institute's affairs and contribution to the industry's development. In addition, the YAG also aims to leverage on young member’s innovation and fresh perspectives for innovative and strategic suggestions in areas such as design technology, community engagement and promotional strategies for the institute.
In 2025 the HKIA Council advised that the former Young Member Committee (YMC) to be restructured as the Young Affairs Group (thereafter referred as YAG), constituting of and serving members below or 40 years old and directly reporting to the Council.
- Support and build rapport for student, graduate and young members in professional development and networking and represent the concerns of young members to the institute
- Encourage young member’s active participation and industry contribution, providing innovative and strategic suggestions to the institute.
- Strengthen the engagement and connections between the Institute and young members
- Enhance adaptability in addressing internal and external matters related to young members
- Strengthen the sense of belonging among young members.
- Actively engage with prospective members and secure a prospective member base
