The latest issue of the HKIA Journal (Issue 80), titled “Technology in Architecture”, has been officially launched. Members who opted for the hard copy have already received their copies. For those who selected the e-copy, the full journal is accessible in the Membership Area (Membership Features → HKIA Journal) after logging in.
Selected content from Issue 80 is also available at www.hkia-journal.net, featuring a photo essay that highlights key technological projects covered in this edition.
This issue includes a special citation for Ar. YIM Sen Kee, Rocco, the recipient of the HKIA Gold Medal 2024, in recognition of his significant contributions to the skylines of major cities, including Hong Kong, over the past few decades.
Additionally, the journal features a special article titled “Rethinking Architecture: A Dialogue with Neil Leach and Artificial Intelligence”, where Provides Ng hosts a human-machine roundtable with Neil Leach and ChatGPT to explore the implications of AI on creativity, design processes, and the future of architecture.
