The HKIA and the URA cordially invite your submissions to the design proposals for community installations in Central and Western District.
This collaborative campaign commemorates a significant milestone for both organisations this year, celebrating the HKIA’s 70th anniversary and the URA’s 25th anniversary. Under the theme “Weave the Community” and echoing the HKIA’s commemorative theme of “Into the Community”, we invite members to immerse themselves into the historic fabric of the Central and Western District to conceive community installations for underutilised corners or overlooked public spaces.
These installations will serve not only as visual landmarks to beautify the built environment, but also as vital tools to reinforce the connection between people and places. By enhancing sense of belonging and community cohesion, you will drive foot traffic and vitality to support the local economy - exemplifying the URA’s “3B” system for sustainable urban renewal.
Stage 1 Idea Proposals are open starting today until 2 August 2026. Shortlisted entries will advance to Stage 2 to submit comprehensive implementation proposals for the Jury Panel's final adjudication, with on-site implementation planned towards the end of 2026.
Looking forward to receiving your innovative design proposals!
