PGBC Technical Visit - The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong

The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) is the first dedicated Chinese medicine hospital in the city, integrating healthcare, research, and education. Located in Tseung Kwan O and spanning approximately 42,900m2, CMHHK is committed to seamlessly integrating Chinese medicine into modern healthcare.
Built into a sloping, green hillside overlooking the sea, the CMHHK follows the natural terrain in a design that merges cultural tradition with contemporary technology through core green building principles. This includes a comprehensive strategy to reduce typical hospital resource consumption by saving energy, minimizing disposables, advancing paperless operations, and integrating healing gardens. Furthermore, its modular and flexible design allows efficient reconfiguration for future needs, while the institution actively promotes environmental stewardship and sustainable development to its community.
The project team will walk us through the facility’s innovative green architecture and sustainable operations during a guided tour.
