On behalf of The Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Council, and all our members, I write to express our profound sadness and deepest condolences on the passing of The Honourable Tung Chee-hwa, GBM, former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the first Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Mr. Tung was a visionary leader who steered Hong Kong through pivotal historical transitions and made monumental contributions to the successful implementation of "One Country, Two Systems". His unwavering commitment to national development, civil welfare, and the long-term prosperity of Hong Kong will always be remembered with the highest respect and gratitude.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to you and your family during this time of sorrow and mourning. May you find strength and comfort in his enduring legacy.
