Overview:
This workshop explores the innovative application of structural laminated glass in modern architectural design. Participants will gain insights into the unique properties of laminated glass, including its strength, safety, and versatility in both load-bearing and aesthetic applications, including resilient typhoon and flood barriers. Through case studies and technical discussions, attendees will learn how laminated glass enables bold, sustainable, designs for façades, floors, stairs, and more. This session is ideal for architects, engineers, and designers seeking cutting-edge solutions in modern construction.
Speaker’s Biography:
Ron Hull, P.E, CDT® is the Global Director of High-Performance Products for Kuraray. Ron is based in the USA and holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Facade Tectonics Institute (FTI) and CSI South Florida Chapter and is also the Secretary and Treasurer of the Glazing Industry Code Committee (GICC). Ron is an active member of the Florida AIA, Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA).
