Synopsis
The HKIA Competition Committee is introducing our members to different aspects of joining architectural competitions through our 2024 series of guest sharing. In our second instalment, we are bringing in two architects to share their experience in winning competitions and how the ideas transition.
Ar. Hung Kam Fai of Common Ground Design, winner of SDG Eco-Village Transitional Housing, would share about his winning scheme STEPS, in which to empower resident for a quality transition by promoting of a cooperative village concept in an outskirt context.
Afterwards, Ar. Sunny YUNG of Cocoon architecture limited, winner of The PT 2.0 Public Toilet Design Competition will share how their MiC (Modular Integrated Cubicles) scheme stood out, how they respond to modern use, and the lessons learned.
