Synopsis
The Green Link in Wong Chuk Hang is a place-making project under the Invigorating Island South initiative.  Through a series of attractive sitting-out areas and pedestrian facilities, the project aims to connect MTR Wong Chuk Hang Station and Aberdeen Country Park to provide easy access to the scenic recreational outlet.

A design competition, jointly organized by the Invigorating Island South Office (IISO), the Architectural Services Department (ArchSD) and The HKIA, was held to gather creative and innovative ideas for the project, with results announced in 2022.  With reference to the design concept of the winning entry, construction works proceeded in form of minor works projects by relevant government departments.

The hiking trail between Yip Hing Street and Aberdeen Country Park has been completed and opened to public.  The remaining works are scheduled for completion progressively by mid-2025.

In this CPD sharing session, representatives from IISO & ArchSD will share with us their journey from hosting an ADC through bringing the vision into reality.
