Celebrate World Architecture Day 2026 with HKIA!
Theme: "Housing is a Human Right. Build It."
Established by the International Union of Architects (UIA) in 1985 and celebrated every first Monday of October, World Architecture Day honors the power of design and the collaboration between architects and communities to shape sustainable, thriving environments.
This year, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) is bringing the UIA’s global theme to life! Throughout October, we are hosting a special series of events that challenge architects and city-makers to champion equitable housing access through thoughtful design, advocacy, and community engagement.
Featured Events This October:
Oct 5: HKIA Round Table Conversation
Oct 17: Public Sharing — UIA World Congress, ARCASIA Forum & Fontainebleau Student Sharing
Oct 24: Housing Project Visit — Queen's Hill Estate
We invite professionals, students, and architecture enthusiasts to join us at these events and help shape the future of housing!
