Overview:
This HKIA sharing is deliberately structured to bring together three complementary perspectives that architects and architectural practices rarely hear in one session.
Mr. Sam CHAN will first introduce how the CIC Construction Innovation and Technology Fund (CITF) can support architectural firms in adopting new technologies, sharing practical guidance on available funding schemes, successful examples and relevant adoption initiatives.
Mr. Ho Shing Yip will introduce a CITF pre-approved tender solution and a new AI compliance checking exploration for commercial teams, designed to save weeks of tedious tender price analysis. The solution streamlines key workflows, including reviewing submission completeness and handling bills of quantities (BoQ).
Mr. Philip Clarke will share real-world experiences of leading digital and AI transformation inside an architecture and urban design practice, offering grounded lessons on implementation challenges, opportunities, and what actually works day-to-day.
By connecting funding support, practical tools, and practice-level transformation experience, the session aims to give architects a complete and actionable picture — helping firms move from interest in AI to confident, informed adoption.
