UIA Congress 2026 in Barcelona - EOI in Application for Participation in HKIA Tour - Outreaching and Professional Exchange Programme to Barcelona, Spain and World Congress of Architects in Barcelona 2026
The International Union of Architects (UIA) World Congress of Architects (Congress) 2026 will take place at Barcelona, Spain on 28th June 2026 to 5th July 2026. HKIA is proposing to organise a tour to the Congress with local visits, and is in the process of applying for the PASS government funding scheme.

It is now open for Members of HKIA, HKIS, HKIP and HKILA to express interest (EOI) in joining
the tour. Please complete and submit the online EOI form by 31 March 2026 (TUE) at 5pm.

Please noted the following important notice before EOI:
1. This EOI served as an expression of interest only. Successfully enrolled members will receive an email notification by the end of May 2026.
2. HKIA is proposing to organise a tour to the Congress with local visits, and is in the process of applying for the PASS government funding scheme. Please note that the success of the funding application cannot be guaranteed. Should such application not be approved, participants would require to pay their own entire expenses to join the tour, as no subsidy would be available.
3. Subject to Government's funding application approval, successfully enrolled Full Members of HKIA, HKIS, HKIP and HKILA may have partial subsidy on reimbursement basis to the tour, which means, participants may have to bear part of costs for the tour.
4. Registration fee to attend the UIA Congress is not covered by the government fund. Participants have to enrol and pay the UIA Congress registration fee on the Congress' website by their own. (Early Bird rates are available until 29 March 2026. Please visit

5. By submitting the EOI, Members confirmed that they would attend the Full Programmes arranged by HKIA. Participants without full attendance to the programme are not be eligible to apply for reimbursement of claims according to the Government's requirements.
6. Successfully enrolled members shall take up duties assigned by the HKIA (e.g. setting up the booth at UIA Congress/ preparing presentation materials for local exchanges etc., details to be announced in due course).
