Suizhou South Station has emerged as a significant destination station for tourism, presenting opportunities for the city's travel industry. The design draws inspiration from the ancient Ginkgo Valley, abstracting the shape of ginkgo leaves to construct 24 modular units that offer a unique spatial experience. Each unit integrates architectural form, structural integrity, and natural lighting, utilizing translucent membranes to filter light and create a soft, inviting interior environment. At night, the units take on the appearance of traditional Chinese "lanterns," enhancing their visual appeal. The use of advanced materials like ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) films and innovative construction techniques has improved both the lighting and acoustic environments of the station, reflecting local character and a modern sensibility.
