Dear members,

Renewal of HKIA Membership 2024

Thank you for your unfailing support for The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) through the years.  You are cordially invited to renew your membership for 2024, so as to maintain your bonding with the 4,900 plus individual members and some 200 corporate members. 

Besides being kept abreast of the latest developments in both the profession and industry, as a HKIA member, you can enjoy a wide range of benefits, including opportunities to participate in various educational, sports, social and networking activities, some of which are members-only events. For example, we will continue to offer member-exclusive CPD events and recap on our website’s Members’ Area.  

Membership Renewal Procedure

To make the membership renewal process more environmentally friendly and hassle-free, we have revamped the Membership system in September last year. You can now renew your membership online, starting from 7 July 2023 with just a few steps.

Please visit https://ma.hkia.net/en or you can scan the QR code on the renewal instructions to login with your username (the email address you used to register for your HKIA membership) and password. If you have forgotten your password, you can click “forget password” to reset a new one for initial login. Upon successful login, you can click the RED button “Renew Membership” to begin the renewal process. Please be reminded to complete the below steps for your membership renewal：

  1. Login to the online platform.
  2. Click “Renew Membership” to start renewal process.
  3. Update your personal particulars, membership card photo (optional), and upload your ID card image if you haven’t done so.
  4. Remember to choose your “Mailing Address” & “Means of Communications”.
  5. Submit CPD declaration record (if applicable).
  6. Choose the type of membership card.
  7. Pay the 2024 membership fee.

Invitation of PA Examination Advisor

What’s more, we are inviting members to become our advisors for PA assessment. If you fulfill the advisor requirements, you are welcome to sign up by clicking PA Examination Advisor Online Application Form or scan the enclosed QR code of this letter to start application.

Kind Reminder of Membership Renewal

While Covid-19 is gradually stabilizing after a long challenging period, we are beginning to see signs of a return to normalcy. With your continuous support, HKIA will strive towards our goal of promoting architectural excellence and safeguarding the interests of the profession and our community.

Last but not least, please note that the renewal process may take up to eight weeks to process, and your membership card will be issued in ten weeks for a successful renewal. As such, it is highly recommended to complete your 2024 membership renewal on or before 30 September 2023, and all renewals must be completed no later than 31 December 2023.
