ARCASIA 20th Asian Congress of Architects (ACA20) is now open call for paper. The 20th Asian Congress of Architects (ACA20) will be held in Boracay Island, Philippines on 17-23 Sep, 2023. The submission is open to the public to select excellent papers with good academic views and opinions that well fit in the theme of the congress: Weaving a Future-Ready Environment.
ACA 20 highlights the nee for a world that transcends to the future as we enter a better normal. It brings to focus the Asian response to transformative change introduced by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) which aims “to build a new culture: one that embraces complexity, actively managers risk, continually adapts and seeks to learn alongside delivery results” as we return to our professional mission after the recent Covin-19 pandemic.
The word “weaving” conjures up myraid images, symbols, and ideas. When we transcend our more common, explicit understanding of it as a way to describe how objects are constructed, we start to see how it may also have a deeper meaning: that neatly-woven mats are very strong and resilient to most kinds of pressures. Weaving is also about culture interconnected to a place’s biodiversity, the fusion of influences and how that shapes history, and collaboration as a way to work, create, and invent.
There are sub-themes where your research paper could fall:
1. Smart and Innovative Technologies
2. Community and Social Resilience
3. Architecture Education Gearing Up for the Future
4. Resilient and Adaptive Environments
5. Sustainability and Our Future
ARCASIA welcomes submission from all around the world, especailly from the countries/regions of the member institutes. For more information, please visit ACA20 official website.
