In order to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community and to improve the healthcare service quality, the HKSAR Government has set aside a dedicated provision of HK$470 billion in total for the two 10- year Hospital Development Plans (HDPs) in 2016 and 2019 respectively, which involve not only construction of new hospitals and supporting service centres, but also redevelopment/extension of existing hospitals.
Sr. Daniel C Lam served as a member of the Hospital Authority for 6 years. He was the Chairman of the Support Services Development Committee and the Chairman of the Management and Operation of Hospitals.
In this webinar, Sr. Daniel C. Lam will present the healthcare projects are supporting services related to our life and limb, a corresponding good facility planning and management system is crucial to assure its reliability. With the development of smart hospitals, these should follow with different skillset and mindset in the maintenance of the new hospitals.
