UIA Congress 2023 - EOI in Application for Participation in HKIA Tour

The International Union of Architects (UIA) World Congress of Architects (Congress) 2023 will take place at Copenhagen, Denmark on 2-6 July 2023.  HKIA is proposing to organise a tour to the Congress with local visits subsidised by PASS government funding scheme. 

Tentative Itinerary:
1 Jul 2023 (Day 1) - Departure from Hong Kong & arrival in Copenhagen
2 Jul 2023 (Day 2) - Exhibition Installation
3-5 Jul 2023, (Day 3-5) - UIA World Congress
6 Jul 2023 (Day 6) - AM: UIA World Congress, PM: Local Visit
7 Jul 2023 (Day 7) - Local Visit
8 Jul 2023 (Day 8) - AM: Local Visit, PM: Departure for Hong Kong
9 Jul 2023 (Day 9) - PM: Arrival in Hong Kong

The open call for members' participation is now opened for members expressing interest (EOI) in joining the tour.  Please complete and submit the online EOI form by 15 March 2023 (WED) at 5pm. 

Please noted the following important notice before EOI:

  1. This EOI served as an expression of interest only, all EOIs would be submitted to and screened by a selection panel. Successfully enrolled members will receive an email notification by the end of May 2023. 
  2. Subject to Government's funding application approval, successfully enrolled members might have a partial subsidy on reimbursement basis to the tour that participants may have to bear part of the tour costs.
  3. Registration fee to attend the UIA Congress was not covered by the government fund. Participants have to enrol and pay the UIA Congress registration fee on the Congress' website by their own.  (Early-bird registration: EUR450 before 31 March 2023)
  4. By submitting the EOI, members confirmed that they would attend the Full Programmes arranged by HKIA.  Participants without fully attendance to the programme would not be eligible to apply for reimbursement of claims according to the Government's instruction.
  5. Successfully enrolled members shall take up duties assigned by the HKIA (e.g. setting up the booth at UIA Congress/ preparing presentation materials for local exchanges etc., details to be announced in due course).
