Bringing Hong Kong’s Culture and Heritage Back to Life

Date: 15 Feb 2023 (Wed)
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Venue: H6 CONET

What are the key ingredients to create a walkable Cultural Precinct with rich heritage in Central? Participants will focus on the Smart Cultural Precinct (SCP)
with the Cultural Triangle with the three historic landmarks PMQ, Tai Kwun and Central Market at its core. The aim is to explore the feasibility of digitally
connecting the precinct with the SCP APP and to discuss the potential of developing an SCP Community and Business Improvement District. By engaging
local community and key stakeholders to enhance the integration of cultural heritage and diverse businesses within the Cultural Precinct and make it more
pedestrian friendly, walkable and accessible. Come join us for an interesting Workshop to help make the SCP vision a reality soon.

Currently STEM students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, US are working together with ISU and UDP International team to explore the feasibility of creating the SCP App and developing the Community and Business Improvement District (CBID) to ensure that SCP is transformed into a more pedestrian-friendly Cultural Precinct in Central. Meanwhile, the students are working on the data collection of public opinion for the Study. It is highly appreciated if you could spend some time to help out with the Community Survey. Some of the findings will be shared at the upcoming SCP Workshop followed by discussions during breakout sessions to get feedback from the participants to further inform the Study.
