簡介/ Tour Introduction

今年，新書《香港古道行樂》和《看不見的山徑—香港可持續山徑之初探》先後出爐，兩作者將親身帶隊登山遊學。前者山系前輩郭志標先生「標叔叔」會導遊茅坪古道，從沙田梅子林至茅坪藤王。後者山系女生鄭茹蕙小姐 Vivien 等會接力導覽郊野公園內手作步道，從茅坪藤王至昂平高原一帶，下山時經「鞍山探索館」小休後回程。

此為遊山遊學系列的2023年尾程。首程春登大東山爛頭營百年石室建築群，夏季時遊蒲台島崖上天后誕竹戲棚，秋天塱原濕地南北行。至年底冬日，宜回顧山中古道，並展望山徑的可持續未來。

The authors of two local new books on ancient trails and sustainable trails published in 2023 are Mr. Kwok Chi-biu (Uncle Biu) and Ms. Vivien Cheng respectively. They will share their insights on site in this hiking tour. The former will lead the hike along the ancient trail from Mui Tsz Lam at Ma On Shan to the Vine King at Mau Ping Village. Then the latter will lead the group further uphill to experience the contemporary handmade trails in the country park area around Ngong Ping Plateau. On the way back, a short break will be arranged at the recently revitalised Grace Youth Camp in Ma On Shan Village.

This will be the finale of the hiking CPD series in 2023. In spring, the inaugural hike was to visit the century-old stone cabins of Lantau Mountain Camp at Sunset Peak. In summer, the hike focused on the spectacular bamboo opera structure for the Tin Hau Festival temporarily erected above a cliff on Po Toi Island. In autumn, the hike was to visit the Long Valley Nature Park and its surrounding architectural and cultural features. Near the end of this year, let’s go uphill to experience both the ancient trail and the future-proof trails in the countryside.
