The proposed renovation converts the existing shops and offices to restaurants. The external wall of the podium is recladded by natural limestone with advertisement signs and planting to enrich the new fa?ade. The tower is re-finished with limestone, aluminium cladding with external lighting. The challenge of the project is to fit-out the building without disturbing the existing tenants.
Appointed to re-design the elevation, and to up-grade the design of entrances to individual houses. Timber is well applied giving a new statement to the complex. Striking image and style with lighting s introduced and are well accepted by the market.
The Ice Rink is situated at the Fire Zone of the "Elements". The incompatibility of the natural elements of "Ice" and "Fire" has become our intrinsic design concept for "The Rink". Amalgamating the two seemingly conflicting elements in unity and harmony has turned into our greatest challenge. On the operational side, we are pleased to deliver this environmentally friendly and special rink in having: natural light setting and airy space; paperless Octopus control; 100% recyclable ice chilling system.
Perhaps the single most enduring and alluring element of classical Peak Mansions is its architecture: an arrangement of low-rise, verandah-enclosed, white fa?ade with tiled pitch roofs set amidst courtyards and gardens. The contrast between the turn-of-the-century formal architecture and the lush and generous tropical gardens has always generate an appreciative response. The Mansions of Gough Hill facing the valley and the sea beyond - a warm, light filled place with openness. French doors and balconies running the length of each floor while admitting as much as they could, the ever precious breeze from the valley and the sunlight from the south.
The Way that can be experienced is not true;
The world that can be constructed is not true.
The Way manifests all that happens and may happen;
The world represents all that exists and may exist.
To experience without intention is to sense the world;
To experience with intention is to anticipate the world.
These two experiences are indistinguishable;
Their construction differs but their effect is the same.
Beyond the gate of experience flows the Way,
Which is ever greater and more subtle than the world.
To express the steel enterprise of the Wuhan client, a symbolic steel building with braced steel structure and core, forest of steel frames addressing and receiving the entrance, sky decking. The steel material is robust and allowed to rust in time, making the Architecture an identity and statement that is unique.
