Project Assistant Manager
(Venice Biennale and Roving Architecture Exhibitions in a Belt and Road City, a Mainland Chinese City and Hong Kong)
1.1 Qualifications
- Recognized Degree or equivalent / higher qualifications, preferably in architectural and design event management; international experience in cultural, art and design or architectural-related profession is an advantage
- At least 2-year solid work experience in event and exhibition management; Involvement in the following specific areas will be an advantage:
- HKIA projects;
- Overseas exhibitions and/or;
- CSI funded projects.
- Demonstrated track record of success in event management and exhibition projects; relevant experience in organising Exhibitions in Hong Kong, overseas and Mainland China is preferable
- Experience in managing project budget, funding, and audit is preferable
- Experience in coordinating with local and international architectural media
- Knowledge in digital marketing, media and/or public relations.
- Experience with publishing or writing article.
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin; additional international language capacity also a plus
- Highly-organized, analytical and self-motivated with multi-task skills and good problem-solving skills
- Good team player with self-confidence in collaborating with different parties, including vendors, exhibitors, graphic designers, international architects, Shenzhen counter parts, et al. and be able to work independently to achieve project deliverables
- Willing to work overtime and on weekends as necessary
- Travelling to Mainland China may be required
- Proficient in MS office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and drawing skills with a good sense of trends
1.2 Duties of the Project Assistant Manager
- Responsible for supporting the Curators, Steering Committee and Organisers for planning, supervision, and implementation for the project delivery.
- To work closely with the Curator and internal teams for delivery of the Exhibitions
- To manage budget, keep track of financial statement and balance, and handling funding parties’ enquiries with grace and appropriate manner.
- Oversee the coordination with government bodies, sponsors, funding agencies, supporting organisations, contractors, vendors, suppliers, exhibitors, guests, speakers etc.
- To assist Steering Committee in collaborating with Hong Kong and Shenzhen counterparts.
- To attend regular meetings (both daytime and evening).
- To prepare meeting papers, minutes, and interim, completion and financial reports
- To perform ad hoc tasks as assigned
Duration of Contract
The contract shall commence from Aug 2025 till Dec 2026, with possibility of extension of contract.
