LIME HABITAT, 38 Ming Yuen Western Street, North Point, Hong Kong

With superb views overlooking Braemar Hill and Tin Hau, and offering stylish living in these tranquil surroundings, the building is visually striking with its distinctive lime colour. Lime water bubbles float up in a waterfall effect from the ground level through the podium, drawing admiration from passers-by. This colour scheme follows on upward with a fritted lime pattern on the glass of each balcony. The total development area is 8,744s.m. comprising 168 residential units.

Casino, Hotel & Retail Complex Development at Ponte 16, Macau

The Ponte 16 project, located to the west of Macau, faces the inner harbor and the channel across to Zhuhai. The Master Plan provided a direct link between the city and the water and allows ample pedestrian circulation to create a mini-town redolent with imagery reminiscent of old Macau’s distinct heritage. The total development area is 126,500s.m. comprising a casino over 150 gaming tables, a 400 rooms hotel and a retail mall of over 40,000s.m.

Shapo South Comprehensive Development, Ha Ko Po Tsuen, Kam Tin, Yuen Long, N.T.

Commissioned through a selective design competition, the project is a mixed type’s low density residential development designed on a flat open piece of land surrounded on two sides by mountain ranges. All of the buildings have subdued, earthy tones and natural stone finish designed to blend into the landscape and complement the surrounding farmland. The total development area is 95,000s.m. comprising over 800 residential units.

SOHO 38, 38 Shelley Street, Midlevels, Hong Kong

Almost forgotten in the corner of the mid-level of the old City of Victoria, the tone of black and grey was used over the building as an ironic contrast to the surrounding marble and granite clad estates, and to the skyline above. A small site of 423 sq.m. containing 75 flat units of about 4,300 sq.m. of domestic gross floor area, and with a reasonable construction cost, this has presented a possible solution to a big question of old city rejuvenation.

Proposed Hotel Development at 84-86 Tai Kok Tsui Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong

Built with a precast facade on a modular system, there is a deliberate manipulation on the facade whereby every three floors the bay windows are moved sideways on a play of scale covering three storey each time, creating a unique visual effect. A sky lounge tops the structure and, in an intriguing effect, the ground floor areas glow at night, with sheet glass allowing views of the interior. The total development area is 10,298s.m. comprising 483 room modules.

Villa Rosa, 82 Peak Road, Hong Kong

An existing villa which had been built in the 50’s had, over the years, enjoyed some renovation works but was overdue for a complete update. The mandate was to completely bring the building up-to-date in terms of installing modern facilities, whilst preserving the integrity of the structure and replacing the ornate workmanship with a fresher but identical look to the original. In tandem, three new houses were to be built in the gardens, in a like design following a Tuscan theme.

33 Wellington Street, Central, Hong Kong

The brief for this project called for a boutique hotel and podium shops. With just a 229 square metre site area, and therefore clearly difficult to execute, an innovative design was required, one which would both maximize floor efficiency and create a bold statement in Central district, Hong Kong. The design has an ‘East-meets-West’ concept in that it resembles a modern-day Chinese lantern.

Sunshine Bay, Shaxi Town in Zhongshan, China

Located about 20 minutes drive from Zhongshan city centre, the master planning dynamics include man-made waterways to compensate for the minimal garden areas at ground level. Making the project stand out are the curves which flow throughout the entire development. The development consists of a total of 1100 units comprising row houses, low and medium rise apartments, 6 mansions, shops and commercial premises. Still to come are 2 hotels, one for use as serviced apartments, and a clubhouse. The total development area is 200,000s.m.

Concordia, Comprehensive Residential Retail and Hotel Development at Coloane, Macau

Commissioned through an invited design competition, the comprehensive development comprises of 17 high rise residential towers, 1 five star hotel, municipal facilities, 1 central club house and ample of landscape spaces. Drawing on aspects of improved sustainability and the surrounding green vicinity, the Master Plan creates a greener environment with road access to a internal road and opening up a central landscape area with notional connection to the rear country park. The total development area is 750,000s.m. comprising over 4000 residential units.

Mixed Use Development at 8-12 Le Duan, Ho Chih Ming City, Vietnam

The development calls for a large complex which will house a hotel, department store, boutique shops, F&B outlets and grade A offices. The architectural concept was derived from indigenous factors drawn from the local topography which boasts the wide and meandering Saigon River, and also from the ‘Ao Dai’, the national female costume, these iconic symbols are interwoven in the design and Brise Soleil facade of the building. The total development area is 60,000s.m..
