SkyCity Airport RDE Complex, Hong Kong

The SkyCity Airport RDE complex, located directly adjacent to Hong Kong International Airport, is set to be a super-regional connector accessible by air, sea, and land via trains, cars and buses. The site has an area of 25 hectares, and will provide a maximum gross floor area of 350,000 square meters.
Developed by New World Development, SkyCity is scheduled to be completed in phases from 2023 to 2027, with retail, dining and state-of-the-art entertainment facilities tailor-made for visitors and local residents of all ages.

Lead 8 is the Lead Design Architect of the development.

Beijing Daxing International Airport (Commercial Terminal), Beijing, China

Set to become the world's largest airport service 100 million passengers, Beijing Daxing International Airport (Commercial Terminal) is part of a new "air transport-related economic zone" that embraces many of the new thinking and work culture of the modern workspace.
Lead8 is appointed Lead Designer by the operator, China Resources Land, of the new commercial terminal. The design incorporates and encompasses a new generation of workspaces, with integrated retail, dining and entertainment offerings.

Beijing Daxing International Airport (Commercial Terminal) is slated to open in late 2019.

International Trade City (ITC), Shanghai, China

International Trade City (ITC) is a 1,000,000 sqm transit oriented mixed-use development and a large scale urban destination hub located in the Xuhui district of Shanghai, a prominent cultural and commercial destination. Developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, the project comprises 4 lots of comprehensive developments with a total gross floor area at 700,000 sqm, combining hotel, office towers, retail streets and spaces, an entertainment district, and a cultural quarter.
Scheduled to complete in 2022, ITC is set to become a "future-looking" retail and cultural neighbourhood scale urban development, incorporating a major new public park and transport interchange in downtown Shanghai.

Pacific Century Place, Beijing, China

Located in Beijing's Sanlitun District, Pacific Century Place was repositioned and transformed from a desolate department store into a pioneering, high visibility innovative lifestyle workplace and experiential retail hub in the city.
The 170,000sqm development comprises a 75,000sqm retail podium which was used to be a department store, 2 office towers, 2 apartment towers and an atrium at its heart. Lead 8 have adopted a multi-disciplinary approach combining architecture, interiors, branding and graphics design, with an objective to create a highly sophisticated, innovative typology to enrich the development's integration with the urban fabric of the district and contribute to the community well-being.
Pacific Century Place has earned LEED Existing Building Gold certification and LEED Core and Shell Gold pre-certification.

HarbourLoop, Hong Kong

HarbourLoop is a vision to transform the contours of Hong Kong's waterfront into an iconic 23 kilometer active urban pathway. A self-driven initiative by Lead8, HarbourLoop capitalises on the legacy of the city's world famous Victoria Harbour, using a vehicle-free route and series of 'hubs' to create an active and welcoming edge to the harbour.
HarbourLoop aims to create a healthier Hong Kong, by forming the city's first large-scale people-oriented infrastructure. A continuous loop designed to follow the contours of the harbour's modern coastal geography, the route uses a combination of existing and proposed promenades and the spaces between. The proposal identifies sites along the route for multiple sports, community and cultural amenities as well as cafes, covered open space, cycle storage and facilities to support the needs of the community.
HarbourLoop is accessible to over 1.7 million of the city's residents within a 10-minute walk.

MixC Shenzhen Bay, Shenzhen, China

The 860,000sqm China Resources Financial Centre located in the heart of HouHai district in Shenzhen Bay is set to be China Resources Land (CRL) most upscale development. The project includes a 392.5 metre tall office tower that will become CRL's future headquarters. The mixed-use development also includes a MixC Retail Centre, a hotel, high-end residential towers and an existing sports stadium.
Lead8 is undertaking the architecture and interior design of the high-end 80,000 sqm MixC that anchors the mixed-use development. The project vision is to create a contemporary lifestyle oriented retail precinct that blends urban context with art, landscape and cultural elements - to bring a model for an eco-friendly environment and offer a new urban retail experience to the wider community.

The development is set to complete in Q4 of 2018.

U-fun, Chengdu, China

U-fun is a new upscale shopping centre in the heart of Chengdu. The 120,000 sqm shopping centre is creation of one-stop destination integrating retail, leisure, entertainment, culture and art that appeals to a wide-range of visitors. In collaboration with the developer, KWG Properties, Lead 8 curated a unique and vibrant place for Chengdu with an immersive set of spatial experiences for customers and a retail experience offering that goes well beyond the traditional shopping centre.
Integrating architecture, interior design, graphics, landscape and art installations, Lead8's design targeted young families and kids, young upcoming entrepreneurs and travelers. The U-fun design brings together the elements of different experiences, creating an immersive, hybrid tenant mix; caring for customers through comfort, and for nature through sustainability and simplicity.

Cross Tower, Shanghai, China

Cross Tower is an art deco inspired commercial office tower located off the Bund in the Huangpu district of Shanghai, China.
Originally constructed in 1998, it has in recent years, gained competition from Grade offices in the neighborhood. Lead8 was commissioned to redesign and reposition the building's architecture and interior, whilst also undertaking a complete spatial and circulation re-working of the podium zone. Embracing its prime location, Cross Tower is transformed into a stylish, contemporary boutique office with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

The new character of Cross Tower provides the area with a vibrant new commercial destination to attract new businesses and bring economic vitality to the community.

Qianhai Guanze Mixed-Use Development, Shenzhen, China

Lead8 is designing a 320,400 sqm mixed-use development located in the heart of Qianhai district in Shenzhen. With the completion of railways and roads by 2020, Qianhai will be within a one-hour commuting radius of the Pearl River Delta and within a 30-minute commuting radius of Hong Kong.
The development includes a retail podium, two office towers, two residential towers, a 5-star hotel, civic space and cultural attractions. Lead8 is undertaking the design of the overall masterplan, the architecture and interior design of the 72,000 retail podium and the service apartment facade.

Lead 8's project vision is to create a thriving district centre - an urban destination that serves as a highly visible landmark with architecture, landscape and transportation fully integrated in order to enhance connectivity and define a true sense of place for the emerging district.

Star Plaza, Chengdu, China

Located in the centre of Chengdu, adjacent to the largest city square in southwest China, Tianfu Square, Star Plaza is a mixed-use development comprising of retail, Grade A offices and an international branded hotel. With immense competition from neighbouring retail malls in recent years, Lead 8 is commissioned to undertake the interior design of the existing retail centre and a complete re-planning and redesign of the architecture.
Lead8's design embodies a mix of historical and contemporary elements that combines the past and the present. The project vision is to transform the existing development and create a new, vibrant urban destination for people to live, work and play.
