Date: 22 September 2022 (Thu)
Time: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Delivery: Zoom
CPD hours: 1.5 hours

Synopsis
To facilitate the local industry to decarbonise the built environment, the CIC launches the CIC Carbon Assessment Tool (CAT), an open assessment platform for industry players to evaluate the carbon performance of buildings and infrastructure. Through the provision of a convenient and common carbon evaluation tool, the CIC CAT aims to encourage measurement and target-setting of carbon performance, and the adoption of low-carbon options in projects from design to construction stage.
Currently, the CAT covers 80% of the overall embodied carbon of construction materials in Hong Kong. It evaluates the carbon emissions of construction materials from cradle to site. Combining the site emissions, the CAT measures emissions of A1-A5 stage of the building life cycle.
In the webinar, guest speakers will give a detailed introduction of the CAT including its potential benefits, applications of low-carbon materials and design in projects.
