Dear CAA Main Contact List
Following the success of its previous two seasons, the CAA is pleased to announce the launch of Season 3 of its Continuing Professional Development Lecture series for professionals.
Season 3 – THE CLIMATE FRAMEWORK
Season 3 of the CAA’s CPD Programme will be organised around the six core themes set out in the Climate Framework. The Climate Framework is the product of a two-year consultation led by an international cross-sector, multi-disciplinary collaboration, the aim of which has been to build a comprehensive industry-wide framework to provide all those working in the built environment with the knowledge required to support delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Session 1 – ENERGY & CARBON
The first 60-minute session will focus on the theme of Energy and Carbon and will offer guidance on how to minimise energy use and associated carbon emissions, while also accelerating the transition to a global, decarbonised built environment. Key focus areas for this session will include passive design, active systems, and technologies, together with renewable energy generation and energy storage. Our contributors will illustrate how some of the core principles have been applied in a range of built case studies from around the Commonwealth.
The remaining sessions will focus on the following subject areas:
Session 2 – CIRCULAR ECONOMY (August 2023)
Session 3 – WATER (October 2023)
Session 4 – ECOLOGY & BIODIVERSITY (February 2024)
Session 5 – CONNECTIVITY & TRANSPORT (April 2024)
Session 6 – HUMAN FACTORS (June 2024)
Participants attending these events and who successfully complete a series of learning objectives will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Register below to join us online at 12:00 UCT on Tuesday 13 June 2023.
The CAA is pleased to preview its new identity which will be adopted from the beginning of June with the launch of its new website.
