Synopsis
The construction industry is responsible for approximately 25% of global GHG emissions. A third of the emissions are associated with materials and construction processes as "embodied carbon".
Developers need to balance a wide variety of issues driving business plans that embrace both short and long-term goals. At the same time, they are increasingly accountable for the wider impacts their projects have on the surrounding environment, peoples' lives and the global shift to net zero.
In this context, Oval will discuss the pivotal importance of Stage zero and the early strategic decision-making processes impacting heritage assets, local communities and overall quality of public spaces shaping the evolution our public realm.
