Council Election for 2023-2024: Voting Package is on the way to you!

Dear Members

HKIA Council Election 2023-2024: Voting Package is on the way to you!

We are pleased to inform you that the HKIA Council Election 2023-2024 Voting Package is being delivered by post to your office/home address registered at our registry.

Your voting package includes one ballot paper, one ballot envelope, one free post return envelope, and a Council Election booklet which lists out the election statement of all candidates.

Double envelope system for ballot return
To enhance security and avoid possible double voting which concerns our members, we adopt the “double envelope system” for ballot return in this Council Election exercise. Please follow the 4 easy steps in the below poster for casting votes. It only takes one extra step of inserting the ballot paper and ballot envelope into the second envelope, compared to the return procedure in previous election exercises.

About the Candidates
We encourage you to read the candidates’ election statement and revisit the Election Forum held on 5 September 2022, to learn more about the candidates. The election statements are in the Election booklet, and the e-version is available at

Voting instructions
Before voting for your favorite candidates on the Ballot Paper, may I invite you to take some time to go through the Voting Instructions on Ballot Paper and P.2-3 of the Election booklet.

Ballot return deadline
Please make sure that your ballot is properly sealed in the two designated envelopes, which should reach the HKIA Premises (19/F, One Hysan Avenue, Causeway Bay) by 1:00pm on 23 September 2022, Friday (HKT). If your ballot is returned by post, do allow a couple of days in extra for mail delivery. Although the HKIA Premises is undergoing renovation, we have a secured mailbox at the lift lobby for all incoming mails and your ballot.

Results announcement at the HKIA 3rd Quarterly General Meeting
According to Rule 39 of the Institute, the results of the Election will be announced at the Third Quarterly General Meeting (QGM) which is scheduled for 23 September 2022 (Friday) at 7pm, at China Congregational Church, Hong Kong. Please register your physical or ZOOM attendance at

Should you have any enquiries, or need help on completing/returning your ballot paper, please contact Ms. Ellie MAK or Ms. Crystal CHAN of the HKIA Secretariat at 2511 6323 or by email:
