In view of the worsening Novel Coronavirus outbreak, HKIA and ARB have decided to cancel the examination in March 2020 for the Professional Assessment (PA) 2020 Papers 3, 4 and 5 as precautionary measures for safeguarding the health and safety of candidates and reducing the risk of virus spreading in the community. We plead for your kind understanding for the contingency arrangement.
The next examination of Papers 3, 4 and 5 will be conducted on 6 to 7 July 2020. We will share the details with candidates once available in early April. We will also actively explore conducting examination for the three papers in the third or fourth quarters of 2020, and will keep candidates informed.
All candidates having registered for the March examination for PA 2020 Papers 3, 4, and 5 will automatically be treated as having registered for the July 2020 examination, and their eligibility checking process will be continued.
Candidates who decide not to sit for the July examination would need to inform HKIA by email (email@example.com) on or before 14 April 2020 (Tuesday) for refund of the registration fee and related paper fee. Refund request after the said date will not be considered.
According to the HKIA/ARB PA Handbook, “registration fee are valid for that particular year only.” However, due to the special circumstances of PA 2020, for candidates who seek to re-sit Papers 3, 4 or 5, following the July examination, and if the re-sit session falls beyond 2020, they will be exempted for one time the registration fee, and will only be required to pay their respective paper fee.
If you have further queries, you may contact HKIA Secretariat (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org / Tel: 2805 7271). Again, we appreciate your kind understanding.
