巴士一汽停車庫曾是上海市區最大的立體公交停車場。改建保留原有的三層混凝土結構,並通過鋼結構加建兩層。保留北側原有的汽車坡道,成為通往四層停車場的通道,同時局部拆除樓板形成景觀內院和採光天井。鋸齒狀屋面與太陽能光伏板一體化設計,使其獲得高效的日照角度,同時立面採用太陽能光伏板結合建築外遮陽。

The Parking Garage of Shanghai Bus No.1 was once the largest vertical bus parking lot in downtown Shanghai. The renovation basically remains the original three-level concrete structure, and two levels that are supported by steel framework are added. The north car ramp of the garage is reserved and becomes the channel leading to the car parking plot in the fourth floor. Meanwhile, the floor slabs are partially dismantled to form enclosed courtyards and light wells. The integrated design of the additional jagged roof with various forms of solar photovoltaic panels can make efficient use of the solar elevation angle, and the facades of the new building are decorated by the solar photovoltaic panels combined with the external shading system.

本案借鑒優秀的嶺南建築應對地域環境、氣候,體現文化意境的處理手法,運用敞廳、天井、冷巷以及庭院的設計手法,營造出靜逸、舒適,富於文化韻味的建築環境。此外,應用嶺南建築設計手法,滿足節能、環保、生態的綠色建築要求。
規劃設計通過不同標高的屋頂花園與自然坡地相連,自然環境通過條狀的綠化屋面和坡道將自然景觀延伸進建築裡面,達到建築與環境的交融,創造性的還原場地的丘陵自然地貌,造就出從基地環境自然生長而出的地景式建築。

Inspired by the paradigms of Linnan architecture designs that are in harmony with local environment, climate and culture, the design of Guangzhou Meteorological Monitoring and Alert Center uses traditional open halls, courtyards, cool alleys, and gardens, creates an appealing landsite that are not only with strong artistic sense, but also energy saving and environmental friendly.
In the project, the idea of creating a landscape architecture is represented by roof gardens of different scale heights that are connected with sloping fields. By this design, natural scenery is blended into the artificial figures. The scenery stretches along the sloping fields, connects with the green roof, and becomes an integrated part of the architecture. The design successfully recreates the hillside landscape of the site, introduces an architecture that grows from the site environment, and conveys the idea of “from earth to earth”.

本項目是建築師放下浪漫主觀意識,嘗試用一種從純理性的角度對各種限制因素進行分析的方法而導致的綜合性結論。成功引導商業地產商拿出土地作為提供給城市的公共開放資源而被再利用的可能。在炎熱的氣候條件下,提供尺度和空間形態豐富的舒適宜人的員工交流活動場所。並且便於抵達和相互探訪。用熱帶水果表皮肌理的視覺延展設計出具有顯著熱帶特點的地方建築。也配合亞龍灣旅遊勝地,成為進入亞龍灣的第一景。

The architect of this project tries to analyze a variety of constraints in a purely rational way rather than in a romantic subjective way, contributing to a comprehensive conclusion. In this project, real estate developers have been persuaded successfully to provide part of the land as the city's public resource that can be reused. Pleasant places in different scales and spatial forms for communication and activity among staff can be found even in tropical climate conditions. Besides, such these spaces are really accessible and will facilitate social activities.
The work is a local architecture with significant tropical characteristics, covered with a skin of visual extension of tropical fruit texture. The architecture will also be a key landscape element of Yalong Bay—a worldwide tourist attraction.

舊建築的改造與活化是個迫切的問題。
本案是深圳市唯一既有建築改造再生能源示範項目,經建設部和發改委評為全國35個節能示範項目之一。本案先對舊廠房進行結構加固,再根據深圳氣候特點,集成運用了60多項措施,包括更新隔熱門窗及外牆保溫系統、改善室內外通風、智慧化綜合遮陽、溫濕獨立控制空調、立體綠化、污水雨水綜合利用、太陽能綜合利用等,使之綜合節能達65%。
改造後,項目取得國家綠色生態建築“三星”級認證,舊廠房煥發出新的生命力。

The renovation and revitalization of old building has become an imperative issue in China today.
This case is the first example o f Renewable-Energy-Using renovation for existing buildings in Shenzhen. It has been awarded as one of the 35 energy-saving demonstration projects in China by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. The project first includes reconstruction and reinforcement of the existing factory building. More than 60 sustainable approaches have been incorporated in the building design, including the following: building integrated solar energy system, new types of external wall insulation system , intelligent shading system, innovative air-conditioning system with separated-control of temperature and humidity, vertical greening system, grey water and rainwater recycling system, and integrated measures to improve natural lighting and air ventilation, etc.
After renovation, the dilapidated factory building was converted to the headquarter office of CMPD. It provides a pleasant environment while achieving energy conservation up to 65%. The project has been awarded as a Three Star Green Building in China, and has been well-regarded as an exemplary practice in advocating sustainable design.

花樣年集團總部位於福田保稅區,既非顯要位置,也不是一個獨立的項目,而是與一棟U型商業寫字樓並置咬合著安排在福田保稅區一塊方形基地內。
設計不僅在有限的用地安排了功能,避免相互間的干擾,同時在形象上將龐大的寫字樓處理為背景,鮮明地突出了總部。更重要的是著意於體現花樣年特有的精神內涵。深圳大多數地產企業的總部都設在市中心區林立的超高層寫字樓裡,只有萬科總部獨立設於東部郊區依山面海,體現“橫著”的摩天樓的概念。面對比比皆是展示實力與張揚做法。花樣年總部選擇了“平靜”,那種面對喧囂都市的平靜,面對未來的平靜,更是面對成功的自信與平靜。
平靜的同時,卻內涵著東方哲學的底蘊與靈動,“樓臺側畔楊花過,簾幕中間燕子飛。”晏殊詞中的意境。

The Shenzhen Headquarters for Fantasia Holdings is conceived as a quite, reflective corporate presence, and represents a new concept in Chinese corporate architecture. In contrast to traditional high-rise headquarters, the Fantasia Headquarters is situated at street level and rests on a plinth of water. The restrained, double-volume structure is comprised of a folded lattice skin and inner, transparent core. The pattered exterior shell lightly veils and reveals the glass volume which houses corporate offices, meeting facilities, a staff wellness center, function and entertainment spaces. Guests enter across a bridge and progress through a series of open volumes. The exterior screens lift and slide revealing a delicate interplay between public and private realms, exterior and interior and light and shadow. The line between these realms is thinly defined. Gardens and water slip between spaces, and the open, transparent volumes afford glimpses into office spaces and outward to reflective courtyard gardens.

科學園二期建設提供高質素科研及發展設備,圍內誼立八憧高科技大樓;當中劃分為兩座能源塔及六座科研辦公室(其中兩座特設設備實驗室)。整個項目以"園"為設計理念,按校園色設計把建築物巧妙安排,致令租戶及大眾融合於自然景致中。
實驗室以複製單元為設計概念,適用於靈活多變的平面安排;科研辦公室相對地採用偏心交通核,同樣地配合提供不同面積的單位。這樣的設計既予以空間重組之可能性,同時能省卻浪費建築廢料及資源的情況,環保意識可見一班。
科學圍以呈矩形之平面規劃有效地營造景觀長廊,一直伸延至晚鄰的海港。為組織多個煉潤廣場,總平面更以地下車庫,地底機電設備|噓道及能源塔等概念令休憩空間倍增,更促使機電設備之維修、重組及伸延變得簡易可行,同時無需阻礙租戶的正常運作,一舉兩得。整個項目皆以中央監察及控制,採用精密的大廈管理、保安及資訊系統,完全地體現日新月異的高科技運作模式,走在科技尖端。中軸線以各適其式的商用空間為二期加添商業味道,當中包括商務中心、會議中心、商店及餐飲設施等,再以會所置於中心地域,為用戶提供便捷的出入通道,亦有效促進用戶交流o 獨立於湖畔並擁有三百座位的精圓形演講廳更是圍內觸目的焦點所在,地標性的外形隨引人注目外,更為項目起了點晴作用。
建立於寸金尺士的彈丸之地,這項的周詳規劃及校園環境創造的概念可說為香港可持續發展的表表者。

The Phase 2 development provides for applied research and development facilities and contains 8 high tech buildings comprising two Energy Towers and six R&D office buildings (two of which combine provisions for laboratory facilities) and is set in a park like campus environment for the enjoyment of both tenants and public alike.
Adaptability is achieved by adopting the universal modular concept for the laboratories and decentralized cores for the R&D Offices. Flexibility in planning allows easy spatial re-organisation with minimal wastage or loss of energy efficiency.
Orthogonal planning of the business park optimises view corridors to the sea and open space is maximized via use of underground car parks, underground services tunnels and the Energy Towers which, also provide ease of maintenance, modification and expansion without disruption to the tenants. The whole development is centrally monitored and controlled using sophisticated building management, security and IT systems.
The Central Spine adds further commercial viability enhancement and contains a Business Centre, Conference Centre, Retail and F&B facilities and a Central Clubhouse to provide easy access and promote user interaction. A freestanding, 300 seat lakeside Auditorium, forms an attractive iconic focal point for the whole development.
With land in Hong Kong being at a premium, the deliberate creation of a sustainable campus, park like environment is quite a role model for Hong Kong.

Zero energy: Passive design method allows building energy consumption to reach an affordable limitation; active design method improves equipment utilization rates. By utilizing renewable energy such as solar and geothermal energy, we try to create a sustainable exemplary building with zero energy consumption.
Zero discharge: By using existing technology such as clean technology, recycling technology and ecological industrial technology, the building is able to recycle all its natural resource thus producing no waste to the air, water, and soil.

1301地塊在裙樓設置大型零售設施空間和展覽區, 立於裙樓之上的是大型辦公、展廳大樓。另外1401 地塊在裙樓設傳統多層展覽中心,其上是五星級酒店,提供500個客房。
項目設計既著重以「臨街主立面」使展覽中心更顯眼,也同時要克服基本功能上的限制,包括人流、車流、下車區和裝卸區的適當位置等,力求讓這兩方面達致適當的平衡。
設計以橫向移動的處理手法,加強兩個地塊間的交流,有如在「靜電的磁力牽引」下,跨過中間的毗連建築,消除兩地間的阻隔,為展覽中心打造富動感、整合歸一和力量澎湃的形象。這個強調緊密結合的整體演繹對這個地處琶洲的項目能否保持「既有」領域優勢地位,正起著關鍵的作用,直接影響到項目的市務營銷策略,以至最終的經濟可行性和成效。

The primary formal drivers for the design, however, are its contextual responses to the surrounding area as well as the separation of the project's two individual sites. Contextually, the project, which initially seems large, is actually fragmented in comparison to its surround-ing dominant neighbors. Consequently, urban design restrictions placed strong emphasis on the podium by requiring a simple and consistent presence on the ma-jor street wall to the north. The major entrances for the two sites were on the west side for 「1301」 and the east side for 「1401」. These faces are where more articulation and playfulness in the podium face was allowed and ex-plored.

專案位於成都未來城市發展的新中心,用地中部由城市河道穿過,西側緊鄰天府新城屈指可數的歷史遺跡和文化座標—鐵像寺。設計將項目定義為天府新城特色“水街”街區,將現代建築、傳統街道空間和景觀環境複合串聯在水岸兩側,構建體驗式街區形態,打造融美食、文化、藝術、時尚、遊賞、休閒娛樂于一體的高情感生活磁力場。

Our project locates in the future new center of Chengdu. A river crosses through our project's site in the middle. Adjacent to our site, there exists a great historical heritage---Tiexiang temple. Our project definition is a unique“water street”in the Tianfu new city area. We allocated contemporary buildings, traditional street space and landscape in both sides of the river and arranged them to from an experimental street form for magnificent experience. We focused on creating an emotional living magnetic field which combines the superb cuisine, culture salon, art galleries, fashion exhibition and recreational activities.

本案是由上海市閘北區倉庫群改造的辦公及商業創意園。
由倉庫型創意辦公區、獨立型辦公區、會議及多功能廳區、商業區組成,各區域由。沿木飾板通道裝飾配置庭院及辦公區,在感受自然的同時可窺見各類辦公活動。
保留及修補了大部分的建築牆體及外牆面、並使用木及有自然質感的塗料以考慮環境及景觀的銜接。通過該項目中心的林蔭道為原有保存下來的樹木,現已成為該項目的重要空間。

This is a renovation project that ruin warehouses renovate for office and commercial buildings. Building area was separated by four areas, creative office zone, independent office zone, multiple used office zone, and commercial zone. Each of areas is connected by wooden decks; there are some garden places in these deck spaces. Therefore it is possible to visible natural scenery form office interior. Almost of existing buildings were preserved. These collated by natural material or natural color painting, and it is taken in consideration surrounding environment. Moreover we are also preserving existing trees on site, this is one of the key elements with this project.

希慎廣場位於香港銅鑼灣鬧市核心區,為香港最人煙稠密的區域之一,高密度發展使建築物之間缺乏通風,亦使附近一帶的空氣質素長期不佳,本設計即以改善社區空氣環境質素為出發點。
希慎廣場為一幢綜合商業發展項目,共提供15層建築面積超過40,000平方米的零售區,高區為15層甲級寫字樓,坐擁全海景觀(約22,000平方米),是香港第一幢由私人企業發展最環保的商業建築物。
從初步構思至2012年項目完成,項目設計一直以環保及可持續發展建築理念作為實踐的目標,各種新技術均經過審慎的可行性研究及論証才應用到建築設計中,其成果及努力備受國際性信譽機構認同,項目成為全港首幢榮獲美國綠色建築協會LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)「白金級」認證的商業建築,並且獲頒贈香港綠色建築議會2012新建築類別[興建中建築] - 香港, 優異奬。
希慎廣場的建築設計嘗試超越一般商業樓宇的固有發展模式,並引入香港建築條例所容許的各種彈性於設計中。其中一個例子是在商業裙樓中的空中花園,不但提供一個公眾休憩場所;同時亦改善銅鑼灣區的空氣流通,減低污染,改善周邊社區環境。
建築外形破格地以一個一個〝箱子〞垂直重疊,互相之間移位,錯置的佈局,從而產生動感、新穎的視覺效果。這一手法,同時營造出多個退台、空中花園、綠化平臺等都市空間,供市民自由享用。希慎廣場雖然包含多種不同的功能,其外牆物料崇尚簡潔,以中性灰、藍調的玻璃、鋁板、石材為主色,讓整體達致統一的效果,以突出建築體量的變化。靠軒尼詩道立面設置了透明的跨層高速扶手電梯,不單解決了垂直交通的問題,更讓建築內部的活動一目瞭然。在繁華的都市中,人的活動及各種流動與變化,成為主角,並融合在都市環境之中。

The design of Hysan Place aspires to improve the environment of the Causeway Bay area which is one the most polluted and congested areas in Hong Kong.

Hysan Place is a holistically integrated commercial development composed of 40,000 s.m. of retail space contained in 15 floors and 15 floors of a full sea view Grade A office (approx. 22,000s.m.).
A series of setbacks, terraces, large scale openings creates a unified and memorable impact on the urban environment. The building form simulates a stacking of boxes, with its offsetting and displacement creates large urban windows as well as variety of green roof terraces. The interplay of solid and void creates a spatial rhythm vertically throughout.
The different functional components (office / retail) adopt similar material for its external enclosure to achieve a harmonious expression, seamlessly transforming from top to bottom. The express escalators resolve the challenge of vertical transportation of a vertical mall. These escalators also become an iconic feature of the building.

深圳大學南校區位于主校區南側的新校區。深圳大學南校區學生公寓位於南校區東端,西側為南校區教學區,東、南側為深圳科技園,周邊均為教學、科研建築,學生公寓占地28000㎡,由兩組“U形”建築體及其中心庭院,相鄰校區道路、綠化等組成。總建築面積為105000㎡,其中A區38529㎡,B區66471㎡。建築高度為17層,69.9m,兩區共有1876間宿舍,可容納7500名學生。建築的一、二層設有6米高架空層,用作公共活動,二層設有連廊連接兩區,與校區規劃的二層步行系統聯為一體。本設計於2009年09月設計競賽中標,2010年11月施工,2011年7月竣工。設計針對南中國地區高層學生公寓的特點,在居住模式、垂直交通組織、公共空間及環境營造等方面進行了新的探索。

Shenzhen University South Campus is a developing new area which is located at the south of the main campus. SZUSC Students' Apartments is on the East end of the South Campus. The project occupies a site of 28000 sq. meters, consists of two U-shaped building complexes. The total building area is 105000 sq. meters, the buildings are 17 stories and 69.9 meters in height. There are 1876 units altogether and can house 7500 students. The first two levels are open floors for public activities. an elevated pedestrian bridge connects the two complex and the campus second floor walkway system. The schematic design won the design competition in Sep 2009, the construction started in Nov 2010 and completed in Jul 2011. Based on a careful study of the campus life in Southern China, reformative approaches of the living unit, the vertical circulation and the public space systems have been explored in the design.

項目位於武漢市洪山區南湖西岸,用地面積26.84萬平米,計容總建築面積51萬平米,容積率1.9。產品類型主要有高層、小高層、洋房、聯排別墅、公寓等。
基於專案所在地特定的城市區域位置,以及優越的自然環境條件,我們設想將城市化的建築空間與自然環境因素有機結合起來,這是我們設計的出發點。因此,我們提出了“打造東方現代的人文居住模式,回歸自然閒逸的濱水都市生活”的設計理念。我們在多層、低層建築上採用類似的中國傳統院落式的組團佈局,而在高層住宅平面設計中引入空中院落的概念。設計注重與自然的融合,建築風格簡潔明朗。

This project is located at the west bank of Nanhu Lake, Hong Shan District, Wu Han. The property area is 268,400 square meters. Total floor area will be 510,000square meters, the Floor Area Ratio is 1.9. The production lines include high rises, townhouses, house with gardens, etc. The location is unique in the city with a wonderful natural environment. We want to organic combination of the built environment and the natural environment. This is the starting point. On this base, we are bringing the concept of“Build modern oriental style, Return to urban life by the waterfront”. We get the configuration of the spaces under the Traditional Chinese Courtyard concept, and in the high rises there are some courtyards also in different floors. Our design emphasizes on the fusion of built environment and the natural environment, the spaces and architectural elements are combined neatly.

最初的外觀設計遵從業主希望一個新穎的、不同一般的建築的要求,使其從這個地區更為平實的建築當中脫穎而出。它被設計成圍繞著一個“盒子”,有如一件帶有白色面磚與幕牆,並且不同立面各有演變的雕塑藝術品。最終設計演變為一個十字平面,以滿足建築規範對天然採光和通風的要求。
住宅塔樓座落在一個四層高的裙房上,可以捕捉到南面寳馬山和北面維多利亞港的壯美景觀。塔樓自身呈現出引人注目、與眾不同的青檸檬顏色,成為該地區的一座“燈塔”。弧形的金屬板帶有隱蔽起來的LED燈,以青檸檬色水泡形式,從地面層一直“漂浮”到裙房頂部。這種色彩方案,通過陽台玻璃欄杆上熱軋的青檸檬色圓點圖案,繼續向上漂浮直達屋頂。
有別於一般住宅樓盤, 本設計要求大量的小戶形,使設計師必須以新的思維邏輯去構想設計。住客會所裡帶有一種小面積獨立廚房的公共早餐區,以及裙房中的共用洗衣設施,為工作室公寓提供理想的環境,給居住者帶來一種嶄新的社區生活的感受,並在房產市場中帶來住地風格的改變。

The initial design for the exterior followed the owner's requirements for a novel and unusual building to stand apart from other more conventional blocks in the area. It was planned around a‘box’, as a sculptural art piece with white tiles and curtain walls with variations in different façades. This was ultimately changed to a‘cruxiform’to satisfy building codes for windows and ventilation.
Sitting on a four-storey high podium, the residential tower captures the superb views of Braemar Hill on the south and Victoria Harbour on the north, and itself offers a striking and distinctive lime-coloured facade serving as a beacon for the area. Round metal plates with concealed LED lights take the form of lime-coloured water bubbles floating up from the ground level through to the podium. This colour scheme continues to drift upward through a fritted lime pattern on the glass balustrades of the balconies until it reaches the rooftop.
The design brief called for a large number of small units which encouraged a new logic for the design of the building. With little space for individual kitchens, a common breakfast area in the clubhouse and shared laundry facilities in the podium contribute to making it an ideal building for studio apartments, bringing a sense of communal living to the residents and a change of habitat style in the private residential property market.

身處南京民國文化保護區面對周邊近百年歷史的青磚洋房,縫之宅現澆牆面和預製屋面極少主義式的交接突出了前後二個體量的分裂,設計將樓梯對應的兩個朝向的外牆局部內縮並使其透明化,將樓梯從整體中獨立出來,並且導致左右兩組垂直單元拉開距離並形成裂縫。裂縫把不同的房間加以分離,空間序列變得更具立體化和視覺化。

Fits to its historical context formulated in beginning of 20's in centre part of Nanjing city, Slit house express itself in harmony with surroundings in the new form of concrete facade. The entire structure & facade even roof are made from concrete with 5cm horizontal wood textile strip which shares the same scale with neighbor buildings of brick built almost 100 years ago. Even we used almost half of world's cement in China; Slit house is the first real concrete building in Nanjing, the city which built also 1300 high rise concrete structure towers in last 25 years.

設計理念
哥哥的房子與三代家庭的房子構成一個新的關係。從空間佈局上各房子都與圍村公共廚房產生視覺關係,同時以不同層次開放性的戶外空間凝聚三代家庭。
在單體建築設計時,哥哥的垂直起居動線構建成與三代家庭互動的“室內街道”。由首層起居室到二層小孩房以及三層的主臥室,在東南西各方向從樓梯一直往上的同時,把幾代人的房子變成每一個角度的焦點,組成不同家庭成員間“互相守望”的新關係。
設計希望改變圍村新生活對私密性追求產生的疏離感,創造新凝聚性的可能。

作品意義
給當地居民提供新的交流方式及居住體驗,在規範的限制下,以退讓的方式構成立體感。
以生活起居動線組織成一個四向三維的交流環境。東與父親、南與弟弟、西與鄰居、北與村莊內公共大空間。
本案從家庭出發,期待擴展到整個圍村的新公民生活方式。

The owners are descendent of the elder generation and the whole family is living in the same neighborhood. The village settlement is rather organic, although each house shares the same footprint of 700 square feet, variation in living patterns ends up with a various typological landscape. The organic fabric demonstrated a wide spectrum of architectural characters over time.
Despite, the simplicity of the brief, the task was rather complex. An idea of“to see” and“to be seen”is playfully executed by spatial arrangement of the houses among the older village context. Each floor of the house offers a different level of privacy but highlighted with visual relationship with the outside village. A blend of old and new materials through architectural palates enriches living experiences. The wrapping staircase maximizes the view out towards the enchanting village fabric and creates dynamic spatial flow within the house with other family houses.

Space interface
Walls disposition gentle but there is no lack of the south building a clear affirmation. Continuous folded plate endows the building with modern appearance, at the same time bring meaningful change.

Building fundamental key
Soft grey dotted with white, composed wooden lubricious wall is the important discoveries. In addition to material conforms to China's logic beyond, clean indifferent is the spirit.

Old regenerative

建築造型吸取了中國傳統建築的坡屋面樣式並且做了提煉抽象----將現代的造型手段以及材料形式與傳統建築很好的融合,在傳統建築的現代表達方面做了大膽的探索。

Shangshanxi is located in the birthplace of Taoism at the foot of Qingcheng mountain.
The project is themed by the traditional " home ", with " street " and " lane " interluded, and " water " as the main line, "the scene " for embellishment. The programing ideas accord with the Chinese traditional residential life of the main demand, the exchange and integration between people and people, people and nature.
Architecture modeling is origined from the Chinese traditional architecture sloping roof style and abstracted, with modern methods of modeling and the material form and traditional architecture integrated, which makes bold exploration for the modern expression of the traditional architecture.

項目地塊位於佛山市老城區的核心位置—禪城區的中部,亦鄰近建於北宋年間的祖廟及清初以來官家富戶聚居的東華裡。這兩座保存完好的文物賦予此地塊深厚的歷史價值及文化特色。
此項目設計致力保留舊有歷史特色形態的同時,注入現代生活模式及持續發展的活力,使此舊城區更新成為城市中心。通過研究及重新演繹嶺南建築特色,例如騎樓﹑陽台﹑古街的空間意象及街巷交叉口的袖珍公園等,將傳統風格及歷史韻味重現現代發展之中, 營造出新舊共融的社區。

The project is located in Foshan, Guangdong Province, China. Foshan possesses a rich cultural heritage and its long history has nurtured a unique Lingnan culture. Its architecture such as Lingnan style arcades, wedding houses as well as the cultural ambience has contributed to the unique character of the city.
The site is situated at the heart of the Foshan, the center of Chancheng District. It is located beside the Zumiao, an ancestral temple since the Bei Song Dynasty (1078-1085) and Donghuali, which is a 112 meters long living area from the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. Both unique heritage sites are well preserved and have defined the unique character of the district.
In designing the project, we aim to revitalize and inject the standard of modern living into the site while preserving the heritage and characteristics of the urban fabric. Through understanding and redefining the architectural characters of Lingnan style, such as the alleyways, pocket parks, balconies and arcades, we have created a development that is contemporary whilst also respecting the existing buildings in terms of scale and proportion. The outcome is a rich and complex assembly of old and new that harmoniously co-exists together, giving new life to the old district.

背景:長興廣播電視臺位於浙江省長興縣龍山文化新區,周邊均為開放的城市公園,建築規模約2.4萬平方米,建築層數地上四層,地下一層。
概念:基地周邊均為開放的城市公園,這塊地用作建設基地後將阻斷人們的自由活動路 線,於是,我們需要將“空間還給城市市民”。建築被設計成一個可以讓人自由前往的場所,並恢復了人們原來穿越的路線,打破了國內廣電建築的封閉狀態,創造了開放的城市空間。
策略:1: 將公共部分的屋頂設計成自由漫步道,從基地北端引導人們緩緩而上,步道串連了圖書館公園、岐山公園和甘家河公園。2: 建築北面設計了室外觀演廣場,將建築與梅山公園緊密聯繫起來。3: 建築對外大廳設計成多功能用途,人們可以自由前往,這裡可以喝咖啡、上網、觀看展覽、觀演等活動,大廳向北與自由漫步道聯繫起來,在這裡可以喝茶並觀看梅山美景。

Background: The Radio and TV Station is located Changxing county of Zhejiang province, around by five public gardens. The building has four floors above ground, one underground, the total floor area is 24000 square meters.
Concept: The site is around by five public gardens. If the site is used for TV station, it will interrupt the original motion paths of the people. So, we need to return the public space to the citizens. The TV station will be a place for people to go in and out freely and restore the paths, which change the close condition of domestic TV station, create an open city space.
Strategy: 1. The roof folded is designed as free walking area, which will lead the people go up to the roof garden from the north square. The free walking area connects the open public gardens around and restores the paths of the people. 2. Facing to the Meishan public garden, we designed an outdoor performance square, which can hold all kinds of activities for the locals. 3. The entrance hall is designed as a multipurpose hall. People can come into the hall freely. Here, you can have a cup of coffee, access to the internet, watch an exhibition or a special show, and so on. There is a terrace with a beautiful tree on the second floor of the hall, you can sit down to drink a beer and enjoy the scene of the Meishan public garden.

水晶城居住社區前身為曾經輝煌一時的天津玻璃廠,舊的廠房要被拆除,發展商決定保留一部分舊建築,作為歷史的一種延伸。大型倉庫被保留下來,改造成為休閒、娛樂的運動中心,人們在這不僅是健身休閒,同時也可回味一下歲月遺留的痕跡。
〝盒子〞做為基本元素,被賦予不同功能,如游泳池、多功能廳、餐廳等。設計將這元素錯落有秩地排列穿插於排架中,組成豐富生動的空間序列,也形成粗獷/精美、虛/實、室內/室外、封閉/通透的不同對比。

Crystal City is a residential community occupying a site that once contained a thriving glass-making industry in the city of Tianjin. When outdated factory buildings were demolished to make way for the community, the developer decided to save a piece of the manufacturing heritage.
An enormous warehouse that once stored raw materials for making glass was chosen to be the new sports venue and forms the dynamic heart to the community, not only as a hive of leisure activities, but as a living piece of history.
The roof, walls and innards of the building were removed, leaving a majestic skeleton of reinforced concrete for recreational facilities. A series of lightweight boxes with a particular function, like swimming pool, multi-purpose hall, games area, function suites, and restaurant were inserted. This jigsaw of boxes, stacked over three levels, in a way that the floor of one becomes a shelter for another underneath, thus creating intimate, sheltered terraces. It is a series of contradictions – indoor / outdoor, solid / void, close / open.

三間院由水院、石院、竹院三個獨立的院落組成,呈現出熟悉的本土造型。環抱、圍合和隱藏這樣的方式一直是中國傳統庭院的突出特徵。三間院的功能是滿足周邊社區的娛樂、餐飲和會議等需求。這個項目結合了公共功能、私密形式、整體性大體量以及小庭院的親切感,從形式到使用充滿了有趣的矛盾。遠觀是鄉野縮微村莊,近看是紋理豐富,凹凸交錯的圖元化磚牆表皮。河泥紅磚被用來完成最後結構性的編織,刻上時間的痕跡。

On the eastern edge of Yangzhou's new development area and east of the 2500-year-old Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Three Courtyard Community Centre stands out from the surrounding newly completed call centres, glass office blocks, and farmers' villages. The Community centre's programme calls for recreation, dining, and meeting spaces for the surrounding residents and employees.
The three courtyard blocks each feature a different element of a traditional Chinese garden: bamboo, stones, and water. Around each themed courtyard, brick-clad units congregate to form a village atmosphere.
The architect's interests in vernacular public structures evolved into the typology of this project. Continuous roof profiles in local villages and red clay bricks made from the local riverbed undeniably anchor the project the site. The terracotta bricks are used both in structure and in façade, with patterns stemming from and building upon local building culture.

As one of the permanent buildings of 2010 Shanghai Expo land, Theme Pavilion of Expo 2010 Shanghai China is inspired by the special roof texture of Shanghai Lilong buildings and Grand canopy of traditional Chinese timber-framed buildings. The non-column two-way long-span space brings the flexibility of exhibition space. The double-curtain wall l made up of insulating glass and stainless steel embossed plate shows the gradual change from void to solid. The building also contains the innovation and eco-technology such as the Photovoltaic technology on the roof and vertical green walls. Theme Pavilion is a building full of city emotion and passion.

Guangzhou Asian Games Town Gymnasium (GAGT Gymnasium, originally known as Gymnasium Complex, Guangzhou Asian Games Town (GAGT), Guangzhou) is the only newly built main venue for 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. Located in the south of GAGT with a site area of 101,000m2 and a GFA of 65,000m2, the complex is comprised of gymnastic hall, comprehensive gymnasium and Asian Games Exhibition Hall.

40首詩是設計起點。一如歷代詩人,我們親身體驗西溪濕地,尋找靈感,擷取天然元素,與酒店要求重組,創作功能外的新體驗。首層先凝造明亮、通透空間,再上二、三層是更私人、錯落的感觀世界。這樣的高低層安排亦象徵著詩詞的連繫,當中一個旋轉型圖書館昇起,貫通各層。

40 poems are what constituted our design brief. Like the poets and intellectuals that for centuries have visited XiXi wetland for artistic reflection and creation, we looked at the context as source of inspiration. We collected natural elements, studied and combined them with the hotel requirements to create new experiences that go beyond just function.The first level manifests the wish for bright, transparent open space, while the second and third levels provide a more private and introspective aesthetic world. These lower and upper zones are then symbolically connected by words, a spiraling library rising from the ground and linking all floors.

上環孖沙街一帶給人的印象往往是充斥著海味店、布行、大排檔。其實,這區在不知不覺間已在蛻變,成為時尚品味的地域。尚圜精品酒店的落成,亦標誌著這個變遷。
尚圜位處於孖沙街及蘇杭街交界的街角,樓高25層,相比周遭較矮的大廈,酒店亦因地勢關係頓時成為該區地標。即使樓層因山脊線的高度限制而不能再向上延伸,預計於落成後將會成為維港岸上的其中一座可見的建築物之一。
15米高的平臺,外觀嫌如一粒大骰子;作為酒店「聲色藝」的部份,地面除了主入口及大堂外,亦將設有主題咖啡廳。入口巧妙地側放於孖沙街,令環顧地面的兩邊外立面都可以騰空實在的架構,改以落地大玻璃作外牆。配以適當的燈光,營造歡鬧型格氣氛,將地段打造成像蘇豪區那樣的吃喝玩樂區域,新舊交錯中成為孖沙街的一個亮點。
酒店的房間有不同的安排,最低4層為一般房間,較上4層為2間行政房間,一深一淺的主調,交錯成有趣的視覺交響樂。

Located at Mercer Street, a hip zone in close proximity to SOHO at the outer skirts of Central. The whole tower is a 25 storey tower on a podium at a corner site between Mercer Street and Jervois Street.
The Mercer tower is now visible on the skyline of the Hong Kong Island, facing the Victoria Harbour. It reintroduces and reinterprets fundamental architectural elements with the coordination of the most basic of colours – black, white and grey.
The Ground Floor accommodates Lobby Entrance purposely openable to the conjunction café lounge. Amenities are situated across 4 levels of the podium, accommodating restaurants, gymnasium and business centres.
More interestingly, hip and boutique swimming pool is introduced creating a hip oasis within a tight site.
The 25 storeys are subdivided into 5 zones, with the lowest 4 floors designed for guest rooms, the upper 4 house 2 executive guest rooms perspectively weave into black and white coordination. The interior is also a simple but powerful black and white and grey coordination.

酒店位於西湖景區,整個建築群和景觀採用傳統江南庭院的建築風格,用傳統築的語言和方法,對建築空間進行了精心思考與設計。設計對酒店的景觀主軸和中心意向,做了層次豐富的營造。客房沿兩翼蜿蜒展開,庭院空間穿插變幻。在研究傳統官式建築和民居的做法的基礎上,對細節加以改造,使得建築與周邊湖景結合。

Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake is located at the cultural village of Jinsha Harbour on Lingyin Road. There is rich greenery and water system resource on the site which surrounds the west side of the West Lake. On the near side, there is one of the top ten scenery of the West Lake“the Breeze at Crooked Courtyard”with beautiful water feature. On the far side, there are the south mountains across the lake facing to the site.
The traditional Jiangnan garden style was applied to the design. The main view axis of the hotel is from entry courtyard, lobby, swimming pool, waterfall, the lake, hotel villas to mountains.“Su”style, but other details were re-designed by using simplified techniques and details.

這是一座在道路施工建設工地裏使用的建築。和其他臨時建築不同的是,建築師意圖通過設計使其可重複使用,且具備獨特的視覺效果和空間感受。在此意義上,它更是一座“實驗建築”。
建築造型為兩個大小不一的方盒子相互咬合而成,形體簡潔,也有恰到好處的變化。以1.2m*1.2m*1.2m為基本模數的盤扣式腳手架系統組成結構體系,首先組成單元的形式,根據需要靈活構成牆體,進而組合成使用空間。
主要的材料包括輕質磚牆、落地玻璃以及竹簾。其中,竹簾由天然竹條編制而成,價格低廉,透風性佳,還能有效阻擋當地常見的風沙。竹簾定制為1.2m*1.2m規格,以一個方格為單位,將竹條的方向橫豎交錯排列而構成建築表皮,具有強烈的個性。

The building is located in a road construction site. Different from other temporary buildings, the designer tries to make it reusable with unique visual effect and space perception. In this sense, it is really an experimental building.
The building is composed of two box-type structures of different sizes which snap in each other, simple but unique. The scaffolds assemble together to form small“boxes”with the sizes of 1.2m*1.2m*1.2m. And then these boxes will be combined together flexibly as required to create different spaces.
Main materials include light brick walls, French windows and bamboo screens. The bamboo screens are made of bamboo battens, cheap with excellent ventilating effect, which can protect the building from the sand and wind at this region. The bamboo screens are customized in 1.2m*1.2m squares with the bamboo battens interlaced to form the façade of the building, which shows strong personality.

Cruise terminal locates in the southernmost point of Dongjiang Port, Tianjin, and its construction scale is required to accommodate the biggest cruise in the world. As the terminal of the landmark, it is the start point of “New Marine Silk Road”, which should simultaneously handle custom clearance of 4000 passengers of two luxury cruises in three hours.

新出入口的設計與周邊的環境及教學大樓互相呼應。從高處下望新出入口,不對稱斜度的車站上蓋及條狀的陣柱營造一個與別不同的獨特效果。每樑每柱都是這設計重要的一環,環環緊扣的設計,為大學校園增添生氣及靈感。

A new entrance/exit with a futuristic outlook and environmentally friendly features has been opened at University Station, providing a convenient connection between University Station of East Rail Line and the new campus buildings at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Construction of the new entrance/exit helps to reduce and divert the increasing passenger flow from the existing main entrance/exit point.
The design of the new entrance expressly responds to the site context which is surrounded and overlooked by the adjacent academic buildings. The asymmetrical sloping roofs with parallel punched slots create an exceptional feature, the fifth façade, of the architecture when seen from higher buildings. The final composition of each plane is of equal importance and the atypical form of the building gives new inspiration and unspoken encouragement to the creativity of the University community.

為了配合大運的來臨以及甲方對本專案的高設計標準要求,我司組織了一組具國際視野的設計團隊。經過對深圳城市肌理的分析後,設計團隊都認同深南大道及濱河路好比貫穿城市的“河流”,是深圳城市發展的重要“動脈”,也是展示城市形象的最佳介面;而因此這些橫跨“河流”的人行天橋將成為深圳新的城市景觀。
基於以上理念,設計團隊認定這些人行天橋應該各自有獨特個性,使他們成為深圳城市印象/景觀的一部份。有了這個目標,我們在每一座人行天橋所處之環境裡尋找個性化元素加以提煉。例如新洲及彩田萬佳天橋是通過“借用”其周圍茂密的樹木並以設計手段把樹的感覺“帶到”橋上,除了遮陽擋雨的功能,我們還希望在潛移墨化下帶出綠色環保概念。又例如會展天橋一及二,我們希望通過彩色玻比喻會展中心裡面精彩活動並展示到它旁邊的城市空間角面上,與城市形成互動。上步路同德天橋設計靈感也是從旁邊的學校而來;我們希望人行天橋的造形可以反映孩子活潑多動的一面,也期望孩子們每天經過天橋時都思考他們的將來可以像鳥一樣飛到更遠更高。
我們通過觀察及轉化這些周邊環境特色,我們可以把人們的日常生活與人行天橋空間連系起來,這樣就不單單只提升城市的硬體,還可以在城市人文方面達到真正的提升及改善,一步一步地增加市民對深圳的歸屬感。
在施工圖部份,我們特地加入了幕牆設計專業公司,因為只有做好細部深化設計以及達到幕牆專業的精細度的施工才能滿足甲方高設計標準的要求。此外,在施工階段,設計人員來往各個工地監察現場品質也是這個項目成功的關鍵。

Twenty existing footbridges were transformed by contemporary architecture facelifts in the vibrant city of Shenzhen. The bridges, located across the city near the two main arteries namely the Shen Nam Boulevard and Bin He Road, were closely studied for their“natural identity”in each of their respective surrounding context and environment. The unique“personality”created for each bridge together conjures a new cityscape that speaks of the multifaceted aspect of the urban context.

Some examples of the new bridge characters to the scene:

Futian Bridge. For the Futian business district, the Futian Bridge is dressed with a curved skin and a high-tech’looking structure that recalls the city's evolution through from the production epoch to the technological era.
Choi Tian Wan Jia Bridge. For the vegetated surroundings with dense trees, the Xin Zhou Bridge and the Choi Tian Wan Jia Bridge echoes the same green with natural motifs.

廣州南站於2010年竣工啟用,是世界上最大火車站之一,規模約等於倫敦King's Cross車站的三倍。除火車服務以外,廣州南站也是顯要的換乘站,連接其他交通模式,包括計程車、汽車、地鐵和公共汽車。至2030年,客流預計將達每天30萬人次。為應對大量的客流量,廣州南站採用一個清晰的縱向組織策略。地鐵月臺及大廳分別座落於兩層地下室;所有乘客到達後均集中於地面一層的到達大廳,可直接連接其他交通模式,包括位元於其下的地鐵;離站大廳位於高架層,寬敞的等候室可清楚地觀看下層月臺。28個高架月臺及火車橋樑則位於離站大廳和到達大廳之間。

Completed in the year 2010, the Station is among the world's largest train stations, roughly equal to three times the size of London's Kings Cross Station. In addition to its train services, it is a significant interchange to other modes of transport, including taxi, car, metro and bus. By 2030, passenger flow will reach over 300,000 daily. In order to accommodate the large volume of passenger movements, a clear vertical organization strategy has been adopted. Metro lines and concourse comprise two basement levels; all train arrivals are at ground level connecting directly to other transport modes including the metro below; departures are from an elevated concourse with spacious waiting rooms and clear views to the 28 platform edges below. Located in-between the departure concourse level and the arrival level are the 28 elevated viaduct platforms for high-speed trains.

上浦東國際機場T2航站樓以建設國際樞紐型航空港為目標,其設計容量可滿足4000萬年旅客輸送量的需求。航站樓創造性地採用了三層疊加式的候機模式,可提供多達26個國際國內可轉換機位,更好地適應航空公司的中轉樞紐運作需要,最大限度地提高了近機位的使用效率。T2航站樓前設置高效一體化的交通換乘中心,並通過便捷的交通步行廊道與 T1航站樓緊密聯繫。T2航站樓形似鯤鵬展翅,以連續大跨度的曲線鋼屋面構成了與一期航站樓的協調呼應關係,建築通過材料、結構體系和構件的精心設計,展示力量之美,體現出交通建築高效、現代的精神內核。自然採光及自然通風系統有效減少樓內照明,並在春、秋過渡季節基本無需使用空調,體現出綠色建築所宣導的自然,節能的內涵。

T2 terminal of Shanghai Pudong airport aims at building an international airport hub with a designed capacity of 40 million domestic and international passenger flow. T2 terminal creatively adopted a 3-floored waiting hall design, offering as many as 26 airplane porting positions for interchange to meet the needs of the Air Service for transference, thus maximizing the utilization of airplane porting position. In front of T2 situates a comprehensive transportation center which is connected to T1 terminal through a convenient walking corridor. With its flying-eagle shaped form, the framework of T2 terminal corresponds to T2 terminal by adopting a continuous long - span curved steel structure. The elaborate design through materials, structure and details shows the beauty of strength and represents the transportation building's core spirits: efficiency and modernity. The natural day skylight system and natural ventilation system saves lots of energy for lighting as well as the use of air-conditioners in springs and falls, which again represents core spirits of green building: naturalness and energy-saving.

一個面積達55萬平方米的高校園區總體規劃已開展,這個項目第一期工程已經動土,園區內首批9幢大樓當中的其中5幢建築設計與及園林景觀設計已同時進行。第一年首批3,000名學員將於2013年9月進駐校園;預計2017年學員總數會升達12,000人。
這個項目的核心設計理念是將這所大規模的學院融入周邊的自然環境,同時保留並加強基地的現有特徵。建築師尋求設計出一種非侵入式結構,又盡可能地實現這種結構與學院功能高效性的平衡。總體規劃以被動式太陽能原理為支柱,由系列高科技創新的綠色低碳技術給予配套並加以強化,使項目成為新型產品系統的試驗台;當中所應用的高新綠色低碳技術包括光催化納米塗料,海藻空氣淨化系統,有機肥料製造技術、熱冷卻系統、綠色牆體、水力和太陽能發電等高科技。

The project involves a master plan for a new 550,000 square metre college campus and architectural design of five of the nine buildings in the first phase, as well as landscape design in the same phase. The first 3,000 students enrolled in the College will be on campus by the first year of opening in September 2013. By 2017, it is anticipated that the number of students will grow to 12,000.
The core concept for the project is to interweave a very large scale College into a natural setting, preserving and enhancing the sites existing character. The Firm seeks to design the most non-invasive set of structures possible, balanced against the creation of a very efficient College. The master plan is built upon a backbone of passive solar principles that are supplemented and enhanced by a series of highly innovative sustainable technologies including the use of photocatalytic nano-coatings, algae for air purification and for the production of organic fertilizer, thermal cooling systems, green walls, hydro power, and solar power.

沙坪壩鐵路樞紐項目是一個整合鐵路、道路、地下交通及商住建築功能的綜合體項目。整體建築設計靈感來源於高鐵車體的流線形設計,形態如同兩列高鐵擦身而過。高350米的雙塔樓, 從火車站屋頂升起,與車站形成一個完整而富動感的建築體,成為區內新地標。建築主體以簡潔的天幕包覆月臺及候車廳,使室內空間明亮寬闊,使用者能在候車廳觀看到高鐵進出火車站,令設計先進的高鐵列車成為視線焦點。鐵路站的到站及離站區域分層設置,避免各功能流線交叉。大堂以中庭形式設計, 大型中空貫穿上部的購物中心伸延至群房頂部天窗,有效引入自然光線到建築物內。

The Shapingba project integrates a high speed railway station with a comprehensive mixed use project over a network of roads, underground connections and public spaces. The complex design was inspired by the fluid dynamics of two high speed trains from China Rail's high speed fleet passing each other. From this dynamic podium enclosure, two 350m commercial high rise office towers rise, forming a landmark twin tower development alongside three further elegant residential towers facing a park. One of the main features of this design is the main departure waiting hall which is covered by a high and elegant long span which creates a bright and spacious space. From here, people can see trains as they enter and exit the station platforms, which are below the waiting hall. This visible connection between departure and arrival celebrates the trains themselves, China's modern high speed fleet. The departure and arrival concourses are on separate levels eliminating cross traffic for pedestrians and vehicles. The main arrival hall which leads via a main ramp to a plaza has an atrium which extends upwards toward the shopping mall to a skylight, which lets in daylight deep into the low levels.

本案設計採用“院立方”的設計概念。廣州博物館,以院為題,通過建築的圍合,形成尺度豐富、空間流動的處於不同高度平面的多層次院落空間,屋中見院,院中藏屋。建築立面以經過建築手法提煉設計的廣州博物館小篆字樣為肌理,結合博物館功能需求,形成以灰色石材作實面的浮雕效果牆和以青灰色玻璃作採光面的大實大虛的整體效果。

The project adopts design concept of“courtyard cube”. Guangzhou New Museum has a theme on courtyard. Buildings are enclosed into different-level courtyard, which shapes a dynamic space, revealing courtyards among buildings while hiding buildings among courtyards.
The façade features on architecture-refined small seal characters—Guangzhou New Museum. Combined with museum functions, embossment effect walls on grey-stone surface and steel grey-glass as lighting surface helps builds up a full effect of “vision & reality” .

There are some KeJia ancient houses which should be protected in the site. The Design has shown it's fully respect to the ancient houses and the enviroment around and reached and highly coordination and harmonization with the area.

Three Gorges Rare Fish Conservation and Breeding center is located in upper reach of Three Gorges of The Yangtze River. It will be the world's largest fresh-water fish gene pool, its research goal is to rescue the endangered Yangtze rare fish species, including the Chinese Sturgeon which has been preserved by using artificial breeding techniques. The center is a humble, environmental protection, energy saving, green landscape building, with combination of both low and high technology for scientific research and education.

觀瀾版畫藝術博物館主體抬高架設於兩個山丘之間,串聯起客家街和高爾夫球場兩種截然不同的景觀;博物館形體折起,形成虛空體量,讓出保留客家街為主題的“時光軸”使之延續和山體相連。以此軸線展開以博物館為內容的參觀流線。架起的建築下是一個有頂遮陽的符合南方氣候特徵的開放空間,彙集配套、展覽、交易等多種功能活動場所。

The main building of the museum is raised and built between two hills, linking two different sceneries of the ancient Hakka street and the golf course; its body is folded up to form empty mass, to make time axis stretch and connect with mountains. Under the overhead buildings lie opening-up shared space, which integrates service, exhibition, interaction and multi functions.

專案位於成都市都江堰翠月湖鎮清江村。建築佈局類似水流沖刷出的積石,呈現渾然天成的有機狀態;以一組曠野小屋形態,回應原野的景觀;以富有鄉村教堂感的坡屋面造型,作為社區整體建築文脈的延續。總體建築被南北向人行軸線切分成主次二部分:東側的展示、活動主體建築,西側的商業、管理附屬建築。

This project located in Qingjiang village ,Cuiyue lake, Chengdu. The layout of buildings which seemed like stones washed out by stream presented a organic form ; A set of cabins echoing the landscape of a field ; sloping roof looking like a country church continued the context of the whole community. The project was divided into 2 parts by the axis of walk path: eastern part for exhibition & activities, western part for commercial use & manage office.
