Events 活動
Year 2016 marks the 60th Anniversary of The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA). To commemorate HKIA’s accomplishments and contribution to the society for over the past half-century, a series of events will be held in 2016.
2016年標誌著香港建築師學會（HKIA）成立60周年。為紀念香港建築師學會超過半世紀以來的重要成果以及對社會的貢獻，將有一系列活動在2016年舉行。

In early October 2015, HKIA had launched the HKIA Architect Community Project Fund 2015. The deliverables of the project would be counted as part of the HKIA 60th Anniversary for sharing with the public. This year's project fund has been awarded to the following 2 applications:
- Invigorating Community Spaces for Cooperative Housing (St. Peter's Village, Sai Kung) [Team Leader : Ms MA Kit Yi, Maggie]

The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) organized “60 Years of Designing HK” 60th Anniversary Annual Ball in JW Marriott Hotel in Admiralty last night. Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, GBM, GBS, JP, The Chief Secretary for Administration, Secretary for Transport and Housing, Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr. Gregory So Kam-leung, GBS, JP and Secretary for the Environment, Mr. Wong Kam-sing, GBS, JP attended the celebration event with more than 500 guests. As the finale of the HKIA 60th Anniversary celebration, the annual ball was kicked off by Mr. Vincent Ng, JP, President of HKIA, together with the officiated guests by showing the series of HKIA 60thAnniversiary activities throughout 2016. Another highlights of the night were the presidential handover ceremony and the launching of “筆生建築”, the new publication of HKIA.
為慶祝成立60周年，香港建築師學會於11月12日晚假香港JW萬豪酒店舉行「築動香港60載」60周年晚宴，並邀得政務司司長林鄭月娥GBM、GBS太平紳士、運輸及房屋局局長張炳良GBS太平紳士、商務及經濟發展局局長蘇錦樑GBS太平紳士及環境局局長黃錦星GBS太平紳士親臨恭賀，出席嘉賓共逾500人，場面極為熱鬧。作為壓軸慶祝活動，當晚香港建築師學會會長吳永順建築師、太平紳士及一眾主禮嘉賓為香港建築師學會60周年晚宴揭開序幕，並一同回顧學會於2016年舉行過的一連串60周年慶祝活動。此外，同場亦舉行了香港建築師學會會長交接儀式，並宣布學會最新著作《筆生建築》正式面世。

Innovative Youth Housing Design Competition and Construction Press Conference cum Awards Presentation Ceremony
創意青年住屋設計比賽發佈會暨頒獎禮

The Innovation Youth Housing Design Competition and Construction started in June 2016, with an aim to explore youth housing design possibilities through an extensive end users’ consultation and engagement process.
With a total of 53 teams of young architects (108 numbers in total) registered in the Competition, the Jury Panel selected 10 creative design methodology proposals by 10 teams in the first round, then 5 teams to carry on the design stage. The 5 teams then attended 7 youth-interflow sessions to learn about youth’s requirements on youth housing. The process involved over 200 young people who contributed their ideas through discussion, sketching and model making process with the 5 architects teams.
The 5 design schemes consolidated the youths’ ideas and expectations with individual spatial and aesthetics character, and provided visionary and innovative proposals.
Results of the Innovative Youth Housing Design Competition and Construction were officially announced at the Prize Presentation Ceremony on 5 October 2016. The Ceremony was attended by about 80 guests. Mr. Wong Kit Loong, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Housing Society, sponsor of the competition, presented souvenir to jurors in appreciation of their time and wisdom during the jury process. HKIA President Mr. Vincent Ng, JP presented trophies and certificates to the winning team and honourable mention recipients. Results of the Competition is as follows:

Exhibition of the winning and honourable entries will be held from December 2016 to February 2017 at the Science Park.
創意青年住屋設計比賽於2016年6月展開，旨在透過與青年互動，與年輕建築師一起探討香港青年住屋設計的可能性。
比賽共有53隊，共108位的青年建築師報名參加。評判團先從中挑選了10個設計方法別具創意的團隊，再選出5隊進入設計階段。入圍隊伍共出席了7場的交流會，透過討論、草圖、模型製作等方式與超過200名年輕人交流，了解他們對青年房屋的要求。
5個決賽設計方案不但融合了年青人的意念和期望，而且在美感和空間上各有特色，為青年住屋設計提供了極具前瞻性及創意的提案。
比賽結果已於2016年10月5日(星期三)舉行的發佈會暨頒獎禮正式公佈，該典禮約有80名來賓參與。為答謝一眾評審對活動的支持及作出了公正的評審，活動贊助機構香港房屋協會的行政總裁兼執行總幹事黃傑龍先生頒發紀念品予各評判。香港建築師學會會長吳永順建築師、太平紳士則頒發獎盃及獎座給予冠軍及優異隊伍。創意青年住屋設計比賽結果如下:

香港建築師學會60周年呈獻：「築」x「電」之旅

On 6 August 2016, tour speakers Ms. Margaret Lam, HKIA, and Ms. Miranda Chan led the HKIA 60th Anniversary Tram Tour which was well attended by around 80 participants from general public.
The participants were given a brief on spectacular design features of significant landmarks in Hong Kong Island along the tram route such as Sai Ying Pun, Sheung Wan, Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Happy Valley.
香港建築師學會在2016年8月6日舉辦了第二次「築」x「電」之旅，是次活動由本會會員林睿艷建築師以及資深建築導賞老師陳琚瑋女士帶領，共有80名公眾人士參加。
參加者在導師們的介紹下，途徑西營盤，上環，中環，金鐘，灣仔，銅鑼灣以及跑馬地，沿路認識香港的建築歷史以及品味建築師對城市的建設。

To celebrate its 60th anniversary this year, The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) is proud to present two specially designed trams under the theme of “60 Years of Designing Hong Kong” from today onwards until 11 August 2016. The Institute has organized an unveiling ceremony in Whitty Tram Depot to kick of the HKIA Tram Tour. Attendees include Mr. Vincent Ng, JP, President of HKIA, Dr. Rosman Wai, Chairperson of Organising Committee of HKIA 60th Anniversary, Mr. Tony Ip, Deputy Chair of Board of Internal Affairs of HKIA and Vice President of Architecture Centre, Mr. Joe Lui, Architect Representative of Architecture Centre and the docent of the event, the design team of HKIA thematic tram and Representatives of Organising Committee of HKIA 60th Anniversary. Besides, approximately 40 students and families from “Principal Chan Free Tutorial World” and Caritas Hong Kong were invited to aboard the tram to experience the guided tour which led by Mr. Joe Lui to learn the history of local architecture and appreciate the construction done by Hong Kong’s architects.
為了慶祝今年創會60周年，香港建築師學會特別於今個暑期打造兩輛以「築動香港六十載」為設計主題的電車，由7月15日起至8月11日行走港島各區。為隆重其事，香港建築師學會今日於西環屈地街電車廠舉行了「築」x「電」之旅啟航禮，出席者包括香港建築師學會會長吳永順建築師、太平紳士、香港建築師學會60周年籌委會主席衞翠芷博士、香港建築師學會內務事務部副主席兼香港建築中心葉頌文副主席建築師、擔任今次活動導賞員的香港建築中心雷冠源建築師、「築動香港六十載」及一眾電車設計團隊香港建築師學會60周年籌委會成員。此外，學會更邀請來自陳校長免費補習天地及香港明愛約40名中小學生，率先登上「築動香港六十載」主題電車，在香港建築中心雷冠源建築師的導賞下，沿路認識香港的建築歷史，品味建築師對城市的建設。

HKIA Sports and Family Day 2016

Riding on the success of 2 previous HKIA Sports and Family Day since 2012, this biannual event was staged for the third time on Saturday 16 April 2016 at Stanley Ho Sports Centre, HKU.
It was a balmy afternoon with sunshine, leisure, fun and excitement. Over 200 athletes from our membership, registered practices, family members, allied professionals, helpers and staff engaged in the field/ track races/ fun games. Even though it is sportsmanship and fighters’ sprit that counts, many of the participants had been practicing hard for the individual medal /Overall Championship. Our congratulation goes to Wong Tung & Partners Ltd. for getting this highest award at our 60th Anniversary Sports and Family Day.
It was also fun to round up all participants with colorful hats to form the HKIA 60th Anniversary logo for taking an aerial photo.
Results are as follows :
兩年一屆的香港建築師學會運動及家庭同樂日於4月16日在香港大學何鴻燊體育中心圓滿舉行。當日總共有超過200名參賽者，參賽者分別來自本會會員、註冊建築公司、家庭成員以及各友好機構。不論是運動項目和遊戲，各參賽者均施展渾身解數，充分發揮體育精神，而全場總冠軍則由王董建築師事務有限公司成功奪得，在此再次恭賀。
此外，為了慶祝學會成立60週年，大會於是次比賽以航拍方式拍攝了一張60周年標誌俯視圖，各參賽者戴著色彩繽紛的帽子，排成本學會60周年的標誌形狀，場面叫人難忘。

HKIA 60th Anniversary Spring Reception 2016 was held on 25 February at the Hong Kong Football Club. Around 100 guests including HKSAR Government officials, local and international organizations, HKIA Past Presidents and members attended the Spring Reception.

香港建築師學會新春酒會2016於2月25日在香港足球會圓滿舉行。當晚總共有大約100名嘉賓出席，出席嘉賓分別來自香港特區政府官員、本地及國際機構、香港建築師學會原會長以及香港建築師學會會員。
本學會會長吳永順建築師, JP於當晚發表了新春賀詞，而眾嘉賓與會員們亦一起度過了一個歡樂的晚上。

RSCP 12th JPGT was held on 24 February at the Jocky Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Couse, Sai Kung. Over 130 golfers from six professional bodies took part in the tournament, including The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), The Hong Kong Medical Association (HKMA), The Law Society of Hong Kong (LSHK), Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), Hong Kong Dental Association Ltd (HKDA) and The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS). The tournament has enabled professionals to connect with each other in a healthy and sociable environment.
Results are as follows:
Champion: HKIS
1st Runner-up: HKMA
2nd Runner-up: LSHK

香港專業團體康體會第十二屆聯合專業高爾夫球錦標賽於2月24日在香港賽馬會滘西洲公眾高爾夫球場圓滿舉行。當日總共有超過130名參賽者，參賽者分別來自香港建築師學會、香港醫學會、香港律師會、香港會計師公會、香港牙醫學會以及香港測量師學會。此錦標賽為一群專業人士搭建了一個健康的社交橋樑。

In partnership with Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (“HKFYG”), a group of young HKIA Community Development Committee Members led by Mr. Stanley Siu, have designed the Christmas Tree, which will stand at the Tsim Sha Tsui Waterfront from 19 December 2015 to 26 December 2015.
