PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to this special website dedicated to 60th Anniversary of The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (“HKIA”).

The website is designed as an interactive tool to help coordinate anniversary activities until 31 December 2016. It will serve as an instrument for information sharing within our members and with the public.

Founded in 1956, HKIA has a most distinguished and reputable history. In the past 60 years, HKIA (the former The Hong Kong Society of Architects) has provided relentless support to fellow professionals, and has contributed tremendously to enhancing the architectural competence and overall excellence of our architects’ profession.

Indeed, architects perform an indispensable role in design and construction because they do really turn ideas into reality. I am proud to say that ARCHITECTS are, creative and caring, contributing to the city and community at all times.

You will find on this website the full programme of the anniversary year, up-to-date about ongoing activities and other related information.
