Established in 2011, the aim of this award is to recognize architectural innovation in mosque design. It considers urban issues influencing mosque design, going beyond form and addressing the socio-cultural impact of the mosque and its role in shaping social practices. For this edition, the international jury will meet in Paris from 21 to 23 January 2019.
On this occasion, the Award organisers have planned a series of talks, open to the public, on the subject of mosque architecture at the Arab World Institute in Paris. The talks will be followed by a reception.
