Call for EOI: Experience Sharing on Management of Belt and Road Projects outside PRC and HK

The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) has been invited by Hong Kong Trade and Development Council (HKTDC) to organize a seminar during the Hong Kong Belt and Road (B&R) Week in September 2019 in HKTDC’s SME Centre. Tentative details of the HKIA seminar are as follows for your reference.

   HKIA Seminar on Belt and Road Experience Sharing
   Date: 12 September 2019, Thursday
   Time: 2:00pm – 5:00pm
   Venue: SME Centre at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
   Language: English / Cantonese / Mandarin (subject to audience)
   No. of seats: 80-100
   Target Audience: architects; architectural firms; participants of the B&R Week; and public interested in the topic

We would like to call for expression of interest (EOI) from our Members and Fellows to take up the speaking slots to share your stories of B&R projects with our audience. Requirements of the speaking slots are as follows:

   Total number of available speaking slots: 2
   Theme: B&R Project Experience Sharing or How to Get Involved in B&R Projects
   Speech with visual aid (PowerPoint Presentation): 25 minutes each speaking slot
   Q&A with audience: 20 minutes each speaking slot
   I.e., maximum 45 minutes for each speaking slot.
   Please note that the B&R project(s) or the experience mentioned should be outside PRC and Hong Kong.

Apart from the speaking slots, HKIA Members and Fellows are also invited to provide your write-ups to be uploaded to HKTDC’s B&R Portal, subject to selection and approval of HKTDC.

Result of selection would be announced in the week of 12 August 2019. The taskforce consisted of members of Board of Mainland Affairs (BMA) would undergo the selection of the speakers.
