Mutual Recognition of Accreditation Systems of Architectural Programmes between HKIA and NZRAB

Mutual Recognition of Accreditation Systems of Architectural Programmes between The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) and New Zealand Registered Architects Board (NZRAB)
 
The HKIA and NZRAB have signed the renewal Memorandum of Understanding for the Mutual Recognition of Accreditation Systems of Architectural Programmes which is effective for five years from 15th July 2017 until further renewal.
 
As a result of the mutual recognition of the respective accreditation procedures, both parties agree that :
1. The courses or programmes of study in architecture accredited by the HKIA shall be accepted as meeting the professional academic qualification requirement for registration as an Architect by the NZRAB; and
 
 2. The courses or programmes of study in architecture in New Zealand accredited and listed by the NZRAB shall be accepted as meeting the professional academic qualification requirement for membership of the HKIA.
 
Graduates from the courses or programmes of study in architecture in New Zealand accredited by the NZRAB may be allowed to sit the HKIA / ARB Professional Assessment (PA) provided that they have also complied with other requirements stipulated in the PA Handbook. The list of architectural programmes accredited by NZRAB can be accessed via https://www.nzrab.nz/c/Recognised-Qualifications/__84A85
