Invitation of Curator(s) cum Exhibitor(s) for Hong Kong Exhibition at Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition 2012
The Organizer refers to the Section 7.2, page 10 of the invitation brief and, hereby, provides supplementary information for prospective Applicant:-
As advised by Development Bureau (DevB), the content and format of the presence of Energizing Kowloon East (EKE) are yet to be determined. There is no concrete notion of “Exhibit” or an exact tangible “Exhibit” from EKE at the current stage. The appointed Curator would be empowered the right to consider how to present and integrate the EKE’s idea and concept into the entire exhibition without being limited by EKE’s available materials below:-
i)                    First EKE pamphlets:
ii)                   Second EKE pamphlets should be available in June 2012
iii)                 Idea on the face-lifting ofTsun Yip Street Playground, converting the King Yip Street Nullah to a riverside walk, releasing the development potential at Action Area 2 (area adjacent to the Kwun Tong Ferry Pier), greening works, street lighting improvement, etc.
iv)                If EKE exhibition is in a room situation, it is originally envisaged to be utilizing the ceiling, floor and walls in a low-tech fashion, subject to further exploration and discussion in details with the Curator when he/she is on board.
v)                  At this moment, DevB does not have a EKE model available for shipment to the exhibition in Venice.
