The Council Election for 2011 and 2012 shall be held at the Third Quarterly General Meeting scheduled for 16 September 2010. A tentative election schedule, a list of serving Members whose term of office ending 31 December 2010 and a list ofvacant posts are enclosed herewith for your reference.

 

According to Rule 33 of the Institute “Any two or more Members may nominate candidates for the offices of President, Vice President, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer and for ordinary Membership of the Council”.

 

May I request your nomination of HKIA Members to the vacancies of 1 President, 2 Vice Presidents, 1 Honorary Secretary, 1 Honorary Treasurer and 9 Council Members in the coming term. Enclosed herewith is a copy of the nomination form for the election of Council Members for 2011 and 2012. The digital copy of the nomination form can be downloaded from http://www.hkia.net/UserFiles/File/cou_election_2010/Nomination%20Form_Eng_2011-2012.doc. Please return a printed and a digital copy (in .doc format) of the completed nomination form to the Registrar no later than 12:00 noon Friday 13 August 2010 at HKIA Premises at 19/F One Hysan Avenue Causeway Bay Hong Kong. 

In order to ensure that all submissions are in compliance with the Rules of the Institute and the requirements in this Circular, your submission will be vetted by the Registrar and the Honorary Secretary. Please send in your submission including nominator’s/seconder’s signature by hand before the deadline. Submission of nomination form by fax or by email would not be accepted. Submission received will be regularly announced on the Institute’s website after the opening of nomination. Please note that each form will be applicable for one nomination only and late returns after the deadline will not be processed.
